I have the same problem....the whole socket pulls out of the dash. I usually keep one finger on the socket itself to give a bit of pressure. The lighter will usually pull right out then.

New Grilles and Graphxwerks Flames!

I thought I'd copy Keely by getting cloud rider grill screens for my abyss vibe. I also ordered reflective dark red flame decals for the doors. I think they fit in with my pinstriping nicely.Let me know what y'all think!

Sometimes keeping a bar of irish spring in your car works. I know when my father puts his miata in storage, he always puts a bar of irish spring in a few places, and he's never had problems.And that in a garage that used to be a barn. I'm not sure why it works, but it does.

Keely, seeing those on your abyss promted me to order a set of my own today. I also ordered reflective dark red flame decals that come off the vibe badges on the doors. I have a red pinstripe on each side, so I'm hoping it'll look cool.BTW....I haven't posted on here forever....nice to be back

Mine has burnt out 3 times now, and everytime it does, my dealer gets a new one from me from --The Toyota dealership.On a side note...I think Napa has them also.

I was on a flat slope. In my heated garage in fact. I just don't want to cause any harm to the car....I'll let it stay warm overnight, and check it when I get to work in the morning.It's been pretty cold here in MN...not sure if that has anything to do with it. If anyone lives near Walt Disney World (or vactions there), check the Test Track shop at Epcot...they have a ton of GM diecast there including the 1/18 scale Vibe GTR. I picked up one in red.They also had a bunch of old firebirds, camaros, and a 1/18 scale Hummer H2.

I got mine from Napa...it's high temp paint designed for engine blocks, so you know it's not going to be affected by the heat.Cost less than $4 a can...I think...

I've had mine replaced twice also...just burned out again, as a matter of fact. Doesn't stay working more than a few weeks before burning out it seems....wonder if this is a big problem?

The key is to make them lift straight up....I pryed them all the way around to get them to clear the main cover first then gave it a good push from underneath with a flat head screwdriver off my leather man.

I really don't like it at all....stickers just look cheap and tacky to me. When you put 50 of them on there and big wide stripes to match it's way over the top.

I've seen plenty of posts on changing the 6-speed shifter, but haven't seen anything on changing out the automatic shifter housing. Is it possible? If so, is it easy, and where would you find a nice looking replacement?

It's probably because 2 different motors are being worked, thus 2 switches. One motor to put the back end up/down for the tilt function, and another to slide it into the roof or back out and up. I really don't mind the 2 presses to close it....it's my first moonroof though...so it could just be me.

The pontiac website is showing the new Grand Prix will also be available in this color. A few weeks ago, it wasn't available...so looks like the new color all the way around the pontiac line.And I saw a Grand Am GT in that color....it looks really good in the sunlight.

This isn't for my Vibe, but rather my fiancee's sunfire.The hood has swirl and real shallow marks on it. She has a nasty habit of using the brush on her whole car after she scraped her windows. Now, the hood of her car looks like crap....what can I get/do to make this look better?

I've never heard of one for the moonroof....when you retract the moonroof, a deflector goes up automatically...doesn't do a whole lot, but that's as close as I've seen.

If you have any problems with that dealer, try Holiday Automotive in Fond du Lac, WI. They have 4-6 vibes on the lot at any time. Plus they have a guy that does custom striping that you can have added into the sticker price

I thought of that too...but my abyss paint job has a metallic look to it....almost looks like it has little reflective "Glitter" (i know it's not glitter) in the paint.The B post has that same sparkle.I wouldn't think that tape would.
