Today while going out for lunch I spotted a car hauler leaving the local Pontiac dealer with one Vibe left on the truck.I'm guessing it's a 2004 model - I've never seen the color before. Unfortunately he was already on the move so I couldn't get a good close look but I did notice it didn't have a normal window sticker with details/pricing info. I've scoured the GMBuyPower trying to see if one of the other nearby dealers has it listed in their inventory and it doesn't show up anywhere - at least not yet.The color appeared copper/orange. OK, but wouldn't be my choice.I was able to snap two quick pictures.
It reminds me of the ads I keep seeing for the Nissan Murano. They have that same colour.

Yes, the pictures don't do it justice - you really need to SEE it.I've been debating on buying an Aztek for my wife. How'd the color look on the Aztek?
quote:It reminds me of the ads I keep seeing for the Nissan Murano. They have that same colour.YES! That's it! I knew I'd seen something very close to it but couldn't remember where. This actually appeared to have more of an orange tint to it, and to me was a better color, than what's on the Murano.
quote:It would really looks good with tinted windows and chrome... Definitely! I'd like to see that color on one with 17's too instead of the stock steels. Wonder how it would look in two-tone? Probably not as good.
Maybe it's some sorta limited edition vibe or something? IMHO, it seems to soon for the 04 model to be released...I know we have a few people on here who work for GM...can you guys shed any insight on this?
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!
My local dealer has a lot of Grand Ams and Azteks in this color... Pontiac is calling it "Fusion Orange." My dealer didnt have a Vibe in Fusion Orange, but now I see they are making them. If I had my guess, I'd say it is a limited-run color.

Damn, I just LOVE that color the more I see it...I would like to seem them put it in the 04 or 05 production line (or rather, the 08 since that's when my payments will be complete and I'm most likely to get a new car! LOL!)

Jethro, hope you don't mind me borrowing a portion of your photo. IM me if you do and I'll get rid of it, but here is an answer to one of my questions. How would this look in two-tone. Sorry for the shoddy job with Photoshop, but I didn't exactly take my time.
Definitely a good one Jethro! Sorry, I got so caught up drooling over the color I forgot how we were able to see it. I'm with Vibe Rater, you deserve an award for this one!
The weird thing is that I ordered my 04 vibe on May 7th. GM CANADA told me they where starting to take orders for the 04 model on May 5th. They also told me that production will begin in the first week of June. I called GM this morning to know if they take a decision about the 04 MSRP (YEAH! I BOUGHT MY CAR WITHOUT KNOWING THE PRICE ) and they said "THE MSRP will be available only when the production will start". I also phoned my dealer and he said that 04 models will be in parking lot only in late July. Theire is some clients in Quebec city who are still waiting for their 03 order. So, I think this is not an 04 vibe. Too early to be an 03 vibe.
quote:Wonder how it would look in two-tone? Probably not as good. Actually I've seen that color on the avalanche with the two tone. I must say I hate the avalanche but I loved the color scheme. My neighbor was hoping they were going to bring out this color. He wants to buy it two tone and paint the bottom half in Shadow so it has a painted look to it. GM had the color out in the CTS concept a couple of years back. It stands out but its not a color that will get boring like a yellow would.
Good catch of a 2004 Vibe. 2004s started production on May 5th, and as you all noted are arriving at dealers. The small sticker where the price sticker goes usually says "property of GM. Not for sale". Dealers are not suppose to sell cars until an actual price sticker is attached. The US prices were release to dealers on May 6th. The window sticker for this car is probably in the mail to the dealer. The fusion orange is a regular production color, replacing the 2003 envy. It is not available with the gray lower, only in monotone.
Interesting thread because I just got back from the dealer (Davis Pontiac, Richboro, PA) getting my Vibe inspected. I took my camera with me and I'm glad I did because while I was there a car-carrier arrived with 5 Vibes and 4 Grand Ams. All the Vibes were silver with automatics, one was monotone and one was AWD. Two if the Grand Ams were 2-door GTs with the Fusion Orange color. Here are the pics. The Vibe above the cab is the AWD. You can see one of the orange GA/GTs here.
The pontiac website is showing the new Grand Prix will also be available in this color. A few weeks ago, it wasn't available...so looks like the new color all the way around the pontiac line. And I saw a Grand Am GT in that color....it looks really good in the sunlight.
Here's the underside of the AWD with it still on the truck. Those of you like me with a FWD Vibe will see how different the suspension and exhaust system are.

May stop by the dealer today to ask about it.
quote:The Aztec was a rally with chrome wheels. You need to check it out. Thanks RASERMON! That looks good.Interesting, they've updated the Aztek page with a picture of it in Fusion Orange (when I looked last week it showed a red Aztek) but it still comes up as an invalid color combination when trying to Build You Own.
ORANGE FUSION COLOR CODE FOR THE VIBE IS 56. The only vehicule offered with the same color code is the 2004 GRAND PRIX.Can anyone confirm if thoses vibes are really some 2004 models???By the way I heard that the MATRIX has changed is dash board (NEW WHITE AND RED LED INDICATORS). What I heard is that it's very UGLY.HEY GUYS can you take a pics of the new dash board...THANX

Just a couple more pics. Here is one of only 4 Vibes that were already on the lot. This was another silver monotone, automatic but with the base steel wheels. The other 3 were a silver 2-tone base/auto, a salsa monotone base/auto in the showroom and a slasa 2-tone GT.

I did see an orange GA last week but couldn't get my camera out in time. Well, that, and I'm not really a fan of the GA.
quote:That is true. They look the the rims that are on the GXP.Speaking of Azteks and those GXP wheels, there was also a Aztek on the lot with those wheels. I believe they are the Mille Miglia Evo.

quote:If that is the case, wouldnn't we be able to get OEM Pontiac center caps for them then....You'd think so wouldn't you? I imagine somehow you can, but I don't know if Pontiac would supply them. They probably want you to buy their wheels not the real thing and pay less, then buy their center cap. Sucks to be a consumer.
