Technically it was the preview on Car and Driver that prompted me to look it up on Google, which brought me to this site. However if it's the first time I saw one in person, that would be when I was at the dealership buying mine.
Can't remember when I first heard about it...I think it was in this magazine I get called "Pontiac Excitement" or something...they were previewing the 03 models in 02...that might've been when I saw it...both of my parents and I all said "coool."I think they're jealous of me now.
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

It was the October 2001 issue of C&D (here's the article: http://www.caranddriver.com/article.asp ... mber=1That article is the first time I saw a Vibe and a big reason I bought one. It's also one reason I got a silver 2-tone (matching the car in the article) and the same aftermatket wheels used on that pre-production car. BTW, I still have that issue. But the first time I saw a Vibe in person was at the dealership while buying mine.
Walked into a GM dealer to see if they any vehicles that got respectable gas mileage and an acceptable amount of headroom. Only Vibe. "best gas mileage I can fit in"
The 10/2001 issue of Car & Driver (still sitting on my bookshelf). Other than that, the day I bought mine.Had actually gone to the Pontiac dealer to look at Grand Prix's...ended up with a Vibe GT. Go figure
Two-tone Neptune GT w/17" OEM rims, Nav System, BOMZ short ram, Sabresport STB

The first time I saw a Vibe ----I was plipping through a mag. and I took a look and liked the profile. Months later I went to the Pontiac dealer and took (the one I now own ) for a test drive and was so impressed ---I knew it was for me. And to this day --I know I made the right choice. I really love that ride!! James
At the costco parking lot near my house end of summer (August/September 2002), I was all ready to go get a Subaru WTX wagon, I found the vibe sexier!~ Bye-Bye subaru........
Actually I saw, it for the first time, when I was coming home from school and I went past a Pontiac dealership and stopped in! I didn’t get to test drive one, because it was so new, but I loved it! A week later I bought the car! (After looking at the VW beetle base, turbo, and TDI) I'm glad I decided because my next cars to look at were the matrix, mini cooper and Saturn Vue! I’m glad I got the VIBE!
‘03 Vibe with 317k and still going.............................
My cousin got them in at his dealership, and i just happened to be there when they were getting delivered for the first time, but at first it was not love at first sight. I had a custom truck, and was into that scene. After, i got rid of the truck i went there to get a new car, and after checking out the Grand Am's and Prix's, i tried out the Vibe, and wished i would have got it in the first place. My favorite thing is no one knows anything about them, and gives no respect til i give them a preview
