These people may not be selling the cars for the reasons they claim but I do think may be forced to sell the cars to cover the taxes they have to pay on the mods. Taxes are calculated on the full MSRP of all of the parts used (gotta add labor too). If I am not mistaken the total amount is considered...

I have had my Vibe for a little over a year now and have always got anywhere from 20-24 mpg. There was exception...got close to 28 mpg on a summer road trip.

I had a Russian co-worker who view loads of dirty pictures everyday. He would just go to the Russian websites (they were all .ru)...I guess there is a work around on this issue.

SarakayI live in the South Hills of Pittsburgh and dont have any problems with the base Vibe auto. At times the gas mileage will suffer but its not really bad.

You think the Vibe is bad try driving a 2003 Buick Century on the highway with both rear windows down. I had one on vacation in June and decided to open the rear windows to get some air...major mistake!!

My vibe was purchased with the moons and tunes and the 6 disc indash changer...its what I wanted when we were looking for the car. I love the tunes package and have no problem with the sound quality as some others do.

Well I just received some mystery damage on my rear bumper...it appears somebody did not know how to back out of a parking space and took the nice salsa paint off of the bumper...about 10 inches by 10 inches!!!I wonder if I turn it into insurance I would get enough to buy the sport package rear bump...

I am sorry to hear about your cat. After 10 years with the animal its just like losing a family member. I couldn't even imagine losing one of my 3 cats (all brothers) and I have only had them for 3 years.

I have the 16" Goodyears are they are horrible...drove in the snow once and that was it!!!! After that experience I now use the Cavalier on snowy days.

My first car when I turned 16 in '86 was a 1977 chevy vega wagon...my dad paid $500 for it and I am glad because I beat the **** out of it and it still kept running.Now to think about it I guess I have gone back to my first car roots with the purchase of the vibe but it cost quite a bit more than $5...

I know that the car can detect that the seat is occupied or not. I noticed this by my wife getting in...as soon as she sat down the passenger seatbelt light came on and I told her to get out it went back off. i don't know if that would activate the airbag or not!?!?!

Painted interior parts

I was wondering if anyone has considered painting the darker silver pieces on the dash and the doors (total of 5 pieces) the same color as the body...like the PT cruiser dash? I have a salsa and have been looking at them for a couple weeks imagining how they would look painted...hmmm?!?!?!

My car did not have the cover installed when I bought it so I called and the next day they found one for me (from another Vibe). I can't believe there is such a hassle for such a small part that I think is left out for shipping reasons.

I put these mud flaps om my monotone salsa vibe and they do not look out of place. I actually thought about painting before I installed them...in the end they look pretty good.

Had the car 3 weeks and the old man neighbor on his electric scooter put a nice gouge in the drivers rear wheel flare...not super bad but is noticable with the monotone paint!!! I guess you cannot be safe in your own driveway.The first has to happen...its all downhill from here!!!

I bought the vibe slash guards and installed then last saturday...they look really good even though I do have a monotone vibe.The guards are made specifically for the vibe and fit the shape of the wheel opening. Does anybody have a problem with the sunroof slide switch when closing the roof? I just got the car last week and put 225 miles on and noticed that when shuting the sunroof, while holding the switch, the roof stops closing then I have to let off the switch and hit it again.Is this normal?
