My bolts were a wee bit tight so I ended up cleaning them out they were full of road grime and some rust....all but one went in relatively easy..the 4 th gave me some aches and scraped knuckles.

Silly Question

My Vibe is 200+kgs heavier than my Corolla S.........why? The Vibe and Corolla share the same engine power train suspension.....it looks to me that my Corolla has more sheet metal..I`m a tad confused considering the Corolla is faster sharper and smoother off the line.

I used a Reese Brakeman Compact..wired it myself, put the controller in the little compartment under the shifter..it was nice to feel the brakes working on the trailer....

Towing........

Went on our first camping trip of the year towing my Fleetwood Taos...the Vibe pulled well, it took some gettin used too when pulling away from a stop(5 Speed), and the standard equipped electric brakes on the trailer helped on stopping, we only went down to "SandBanks Provincial Park" 172...

No noise from my Vibe...but assuming that Nummi uses the same sources...my Corolla S had both door seals replaced due to wind noise..fixed the wind noise problem, now I have to spray them with silicone spray every other week cause the seal grunt against the b post..........

Engine Power

Ok heres my question...I have a 2003 Vibe 5Speed Sport Package..I also have 2003 CorollaS 5Speed, ok now both have same Motor I assume the same Transmission(different linkage) the Vibe is lighter than the Corolla (almost 200kg) but the Corolla is Quicker to Ramp up and seems alot smoother over all.....

Most of what you are looking at on your filters is most likley mold...mine smelt like a wet dirty dog..replaced it with a 3m 20x20x1 Allergen Furnace Filter...got 4 Filters out of one..only 16bucks CDN

Found the handiest spot for putting the wires through..passenger footwell fold back carpet near middle hump pull out a/c drip tube push wires through replace tube......

Trailer Brakes

I`ve bought a small tent trailer (Fleetwood Taos) and want to wire up the Brake Controller for the Brakes on the Trailer...the Control Module requires a 20amp supply with a Auto Reseting Breaker , does anybody have any ideas..I know the best thing is to Fish the wire through the Fire Wall to the Bat...

Ever since I have had my car..there is buzzing noise when the compresor runs ac/def...the dealer says they can`t find anything...I hear it..my wife hears it....sounds as it may be getting worse...any ideas?

You got off lucky my friend.......I installed a Reese (hidden type) hitch, it has 3 bolts per side.......and the frame holes with the weld nuts had salt and sand in them....all in all got it installed and looks good, lets see how it handles my new camper..will post pics when the trailers gets picked...

I used my spare key on a few occasions.....it worked, left it running in Summer with air to keep it cool while we went into Costco..came out 45mins after... .running ,locked and cool....

Don`t feel bad the "Big Boy"....City Pontiac Buick is no better , if it wasn`t for my small town dealer my car would be ignored. Small town dealer know about Moulding TSBs City didn`t ! First Oil change couldn`t be done because they didn`t stock filter....so I had it done at Mister Lube......

Many of my interior parts are discoloured...the moulding process has to be the blame....I pointed them out shortly after I got the car...put them on record.....can`t blame me for wear and tear. The other day as I was walking Past my car I noticed a slight water spot....so i searched franticly....nothing but a "swiffer" from inside glove box(used for dash)....what a great little product...it got rid of the spot but it also seemed to be a good little polisher.

Well Winter is almost over..Right? I have dicovered that the wheel openings especially the fronts love to hang onto snow and slush...I actually accumulated enough to interfere with my steering...perhaps the Techys could smooth things out in there for up coming Models and Years....just an idea?

Took some tinkering...but finally got the Headlights pointing in a comfortable position....I can`t believe this hasn`t come to the point of Service Bullatin...I realized that the light pattern is very similar to that of some H4 Quartz Lights I had some years back....anyways the they shine further do...
