This past week I expereinced something weird....I was going into town to get some beer and stuff and decided I would charge my "Eliminator"(Canadian Tire) Power Supply....anyways I plugged it into my Cig Outlet and drove into town....parked the car in the Parking Lot of the Liquor store..shut off the car was just about to get out and thought hmmm? how nice they are playing the same music in the plaza as I was listening to on the Radio...so I got out and realized it wasn`t comin from outside but coming from my Radio...no keys in the ignition....the Power Supply was somehow suppling power backwards through my cig lighter to my Radio....I pulled out the adapter it stopped right away..I thought?..thats not good!....any ideas or suggestions?
No big deal, the Eliminator will feed the car electrical system if the volts are lower, when the car is running (alt supplying) then the car volt are higher and it charges your Eliminator.I have a 9vdc battery with a male end cig adapter hooked to it, just plug in yer 9v battery before disconnecting the car battery and...magic all your radio presets are saved. No need for the customer to reset all their favorites.
Base Two Tone Satellite, Auto, & Pwr Pkg....my current commuting car.
There are products out there that uses this technique to charge your battery if it goes dead. So you don't need to get a buddies car. You just plug it into the lighter, and it charges it up.Its nothing to be worried about.
