Re: Looks we get while driving (Big_Red)

Most of the time I just get the feeling your being looked at. However, the first week I had my Vibe I was going home from work waiting at a traffic light. A semi truck going throught the intersection slams on his brakes and stops in the middle of the intersection. He's honking his horn and giving me...

Re: What tires does the Vibe come with? (labradogs1)

My Vibe has the Continentals on it. I noticed that the other Vibe that arrived with mine on the dealer lot had Goodyears. Only difference between the two Vibes was mine is 5-speed, the other was auto and color (salsa vs. neptune). I'm in Canada, so I don't think that makes a difference.

How Do You Apply Touch-up Paint?

Other than the obvious of painting it on the damages area, what else do you do? Do you buff it after it dries? How about polishing and waxing it? I would like the repair to be INVISIBLE.

Re: Losing paint on side guard (VibeInTx)

I didn't fully understand what all the fuss was about ....until today. A car parked next to my Vibe opened it's door and bearly touched my door and the paint came off. I couldn't beleve how easy it came off. What is the paint code for Salsa?

1. GM Supplier Discount 2. GM Visa points 3. I'm a sales rep selling to Ford, GM, DaimlerChrysler. A Toyota would not last long on their employee parking lot.

Re: Vibe headlight covers (MechTech)

I would also be interested in headlight covers. A friend has a VW Jetta with clear covers (from VW I think). They have a warranty for life from damage. It would be nice to have this for the Vibe. All I can find are smoked covers. Isn't there anything else available?

Re: Where to find Xenon light bulbs? (bassfreak)

Pro Auto Accessories on Walker Road in Windsor sells them. They stock the 100W units in both H4(headlights) and 9006(fog). They sell for $39.95CAN for a pair. I'm not sure if I want to put 100W bulbs in place of the 55W bulbs. Let me know if you do it. I wouldn't mind seeing the results. Maybe we co...

Re: Where to find Xenon light bulbs? (bassfreak)

I searched the Canadian Tire website with no luck. A trip to the local store brought no luck also. They do have Silvania "Cool Blue" bulbs. 9006 but no 9003/H4. I'm not sure if they are Xenon? When I have more time I'll check other stores in the area.

Nice pic. I like the racing curbs. Looks fast just sitting there!! I was going to do something simular. I'm in Windsor. I'm going to try parking my new Vibe at the river on the Canadian side and snapping a few pics with the RenCen as the background. Nice big blue GM emblem on the top tower. Maybe th...

Rear defroster pad lifted from glass

I've had my Vibe for one day. I noticed that one of the four soldered contacts for the rear window defroster has broken off of the glass. I really mean broken off!! With the rear hatch and glass closed, you can see chipped glass on the inside, on the left side of the rear wiper mechanics. Has anyone...

Scratches on lower two-tone molding

What is the best way to get scratches off of the lower clading/molding? The dealer wants to sand and spray matching paint. Won't garantee the finish. They are surface scratches.

It's Finally Here

Wouldn't you know my luck. The dealership called in Sept 11 to say my Vibe is finally in and I'm in the hospital on the operating table (nothing serious, just fixed my nose). My wife called and made arangements to pick it up on Monday. That would be five months and one day since ordering it. Do I wi...

I ordered my Vibe on April 15th. GM Canada informed me yesterday that it is FINALLY built. I've a wait of two to three weeks for the keys. My lease (Transport) has been extended from the end of June. The dealer agreed to take the Transport back at the end of August and supply a loaner for the week o...

If you are looking for one soon, you had better find one on the car lot. Delivery of a factory order is extensively long at this time. I'm at 12 weeks and counting. Expecting delivery in early September!!Base Salsa Two-tone, 5-speed, Power package, 16" alum. rims.

Well, I thought I was immune to the bad news I was reading here. But alas, I was told by gmcanada today that I will be waiting until the end of August for my basic vibe (salsa, power, manual). I too was told 8 weeks when it was ordered on April 15th. I called gmcanada after getting a very vague answ...
