How long till you got a Build Date

I ordered my Vibe on June 28.I was just curious how long most of you had to wait before you ever had a build date? How far in advance does GM plan? Just curious...BTW: My order is preferenced, and yes, I know I'm going to have to wait ages to get my car... FattySatelite,5spd,ABS,speaker upgrade

I ordered April 24, was told my build date July 4 after badgering my dealer for about two weeks. My build date is supposed to be Aug 18th, 2002. Delivery is supposedly 1 month after build so I may get my car for my 42nd birthday I got royally jerked I figure because I had tons of info that the car was going to be late and the dealer denied all knowledge. I shamed them into loaning me an old car for the next two months.So 2fatty if my experience holds for you, you may have your keys November 22, 2002 {21 weeks}. or maybe not Good luck

I hope I don't discourage anyone.....I have had many frustrating conversations with both my dealer and GM Canada. Here is where I stand today.Ordered Base Vibe, Salsa, power pkg, 16" alum rims on April 15.Finally got the build date last week of August 19. Was told 2-3 weeks from that week till the dealer gets the vehicle. Called GM Canada Monday was told August 19th but........the factory is two weeks behind schedule.The dealer gave me order numbers for two other vehicles that the customers cancelled on and GM Canada told me the build dates on both of those vehicles are.........August 19th FUDGE!!!!!!I am also hoping to get my new Vibe by my birthday (Oct. 8)6 MONTHS TO GET A VIBE IS MY EXPERIENCE.....SO FAR!!
