Looks we get while driving

Now, before any of you start with my driving style, let me just say that since I have picked up my Vibe in late September, I have been getting looks from everyone on the road...it doesn't matter if they are driving a Chrysler Neon to a Ferrari....to even a Truck Driver and pickup owners. I was at city hall 3 weeks ago getting my marriage license (yes, got married of the Turkey Day (canada) long weekend) and he actually went out of his way to ask me questions about the car....looks, feel, performance...blah blah blah. I think because it is new, people don't see it very often, plus the commercials for the Vibe were mostly during the summer time (and you know how much attention people pay to those). In the Mississauga/Brampton/Toronto area there are quite a few Vibe's on the road...it is about a 50/50 split between the Vibe and Matrix. Personally I think the Vibe has a better look to it than its sister Matrix. Anyway, just wanted to know if you had the same experiences.

I rarely catch people looking at my Vibe when I am driving (gotta watch the road ), but when my sister is in the passenger seat, she always mentions that people are always looking. I don't mind. I do notice personally either when I am on the highway and can see people in my mirrors looking or when at a stop light.

My boyfriend says we get a lot of looks, but I'm somewhat oblivious. One guy did chase us down the street to ask us questions though. And now that I've put on my personalized plates I see A LOT more people looking.

Well 4 months into the purchase I still get plenty of looksI'm remember a couple approached me gettin in the car at a COSTCO in suburban Detroit asking questions. I think I got them to buy one too.

I get looks all the time and notice that people lag in my blind spot while they are looking... And guess what---I look at other Vibes on the road because I find them attractive to look at. People also stop me all the time to ask about the Vibe. James

I'm one of those Vibe checker-outers. (Still deciding...)Saw two of them on the drive to work the other morning (plus the one in my parking lot at work). Ran into the office to tell a Vibe-owning coworker about the number of Vibe spottings that morning.

heh, ive had everyone from bank tellers to the cook at Waffle House asking me about my GT. its also interesting to hear what ppl call it, lets see, truck, car, suv, wagon, and this one dude, LOL, called it a alien spaceship,LOL.8000 miles and still loving itGreg

I was at the car wash yesterday and the guy who sprays down the car stopped and had me roll down my window so I could tell him all about my car. So we chatted and I told him to check out this website if he was really interested. People can't help it the car just screams fun.

Whenever I see a Vibe on the road, I drive next to them and smile...unfortunately 9 out of 10 times, the other owner looks at me, like "What the **** you smilin' at?" I guess, I find it nice to have someone drive a new model like the Vibe. What's wrong with that?

I catch people looking every now and then. * One guy at a Arby's asked me some questions about it.* A family in a Satelite pulled up next to me, honked and waved * Right now i catch a lot of people looking at me, but i guess they have a reason to... Most of the time I just get the feeling your being looked at. However, the first week I had my Vibe I was going home from work waiting at a traffic light. A semi truck going throught the intersection slams on his brakes and stops in the middle of the intersection. He's honking his horn and giving me the thumbs up . I return the gesture and he drives off. I smiled all the way home I always give the V sign to other Vibe owners. Most wave back, some just drive away.

Driving the Vibe around my town is lots of fun with only 2 Vibes in town, the car consistently gets looks from everyone

I had just gotten my 5-speed after driving an automatic for 3 years, and I must admit my stick shift driving skill needed some rust removal. This kid next to me at a stoplight heard my rev my engine trying to get into first, and must have thought I wanted to race, because he peeled out ahead of me when the light turned green. Meanwhile I just smoothly climbed through the gears, and he pulled into a convenience store parking lot just past the light, angry at the lack of competition

wow... I saw 3 vibe owners in my area... haha it was so funny while driving I was stopped at a red light and a Neptune vibe ended up right next to me.. we waved hello to each other . the other two were on the Highway in Virginia.. how cool

I've had the vibe a week. Being that my husband and I work very odd and different schedules, we eat out alot. Taco Bell is our main staple. Now whenever I go--the guy at the drive-thru yells to the kitchen "hey--it's the chick with the vibe" and like 7 guys magically appear. It feels good. I drove a chevy cavalier before--I never got looks or attention with that car. Love my vibe!!!!

LOL shen,Whenever I go through a drive through, especially at night I get tons of questions for the drive though worker about the car.. Gosh I am proud of my Vibe..
