instead of using the brakes to stop the car, you're using compression from the motor. This puts alot of stress on you're piston rings and over a long period of time you could gradually start to lose power.

I still have the z rated dunlops that came with my vibe. We just got our first snowfall(only 2"), driving with these tires in snow is not a pleasurable experience. I just ordered a set of dunlop sp winter sport m2's with a set of 16" steel rims. Consumer reports gave them a very good ratin...

The vibe is equiped with speed sensitive steering. I provides more assist at low speeds and less assist at high speeds.

The turbo coupe thunderbirds are also pretty quick. I don't know much about the availability of aftermarket parts though. I think a turbo coupe would be cheaper and easier to find than a syclone or grand national. Around here the most i've seen one go for is around 4-5k.

A friend of mine has a '96 neon with a borla axle back. I doesn't sound like you're typical fart can. It's actually got deep sound to it. The borla is so much cheaper than the trd I'll probobly go with the borla.

When i first got my vibe the blind spot was a pain in the ***. But since i've put almost 30k miles on it i don't even notice the blind spot anymore. It's just one of those things that you have to get used to.

armor all works pretty good. But i was sloppy when i waxed my vibe and got wax on alot of the trim pieces. I tried using armor all but it didn't work. This mother's stuff is like a wax, but for plastic and rubber trim. It made the trim on my vibe look better than it did when i drove it off the deale...

the head unit in the vibe/matrix is a 1.5 din. You cant go any bigger than 1.5, but you can get a single din with a dash kit.

The speedo is faster than actual speed. I got a speeding ticket on my way home from work today. I was in 55mph zone and had my cruise control set to 70mph and got a ticket for 68 in a 55. The first time i waxed my vibe i was kinda sloppy and got wax on the body cladding and door handles. I bought mother's back to black and it did an excelent job, the plastic looked better than it did when i picked it up from the dealer.

I've used black magic tire gel for a couple of years now and have had no problems with spin off, and it lasts for at least a week. I've found that the gel is a lot better than that spray on crap.

I'm payin 370(almost as much as my car payment) a month for full coverage through american family insurance on my gt. I don't have the greatest driving record and living close to chicago makes my rates higher also. I also pay a little more because i have a lava(red) vibe.

I would choose a stick shift over an auto, but that's cause i drive my cars pretty hard and put on a lot of miles. The admin. on matrixvibe.net said that they probably won't come out with a supercharger for the 2zz because of it's already high compression. I hope like hell he's wrong, i'd be pretty upset if i got beat by a base vibe at the dragstrip.

If you have keyless entry it should be the bottom button(should say "hatch"). Just hold it down until the glass pops open.

I wouldn't recomend anything from jenson,profile,us accustics, or jbl. But all the others make very good amps. ...

in order to run an amp off of a stock unit you have to get a high to low level converter, since stock units don't have rca outputs. ya know i never even thought about that until you asked me lopers. I just went out and checked. I loaded and unloaded a cd and it did nothing. I tried using the rds and nothing happened, then armed the security system and it still didn't do ****. So it beats the hell out of me what that light is for...
