First I'd like to give mention to the great work that has been done on this site. Keep up the good work!I don't drive a Vibe or a Matrix; I drive a 2000 Celica GT, but I thought I may have some useful information to share with you. As for forced induction, we Celica owners are also quite limited in our options as yet. However, more has become available recently. For the 1ZZ-FE, West Covina Toyota, a dealer in CA, is in develeopment of a turbo kit. With some minor modifications this kit would conceivably work on a base Vibe or Matrix (it is intended for a 98+ Corolla, MR2 Spyder and Celica GT at the moment). As you will find on their page, there have been a few obstacles, but it is well on the way. Following completion of the kit, there is rumor that they will go on to develop a 2ZZ-GE turbo kit. Here is their turbo kit page:
http://www.wctoyotasport.com/Parts/C3/1zzfeturbokit.htm A Celica owner in the UK has had a supercharger kit custom made for his 1ZZ-FE powered Celica. The company who created the kit may have plans to start selling the kit commercially. Here are some pics of his setup:
http://www.celica-club.co.uk/pages/gall ... rofile.htm Blitz, one of Japan's top tuners, has released an intercooled supercharger kit for the 2ZZ-GE. It is intended for a Celica, mostly due to the configuration of the piping, yet again conceivable it could work with a Vibe GT or Matrix XRS. So far the kit is availale in Japan and in Europe, and should be available in the US later this year. No pricing has been posted on their website, just a picture. Their North American branch website:
http://www.blitz-na.com As for a TRD supercharger, it seems that the Matrix/Vibe community knows more about that than the Celica community. Perhaps because of GM's and Toyota's intent to push the Vibe/Matrix into the aftermarket. I'll be checking back here for further news.I was also looking at the forums on
http://www.matrixvibe.net , and found that they contained similar information. Also, you may wish to take a look at the
http://www.celica.net ,
http://www.newcelica.org and
http://www.toyotacelica.org forums for more information on forced induction.Again, great job on the site!
