Trim Detailing

Post by d_m_kolb »

The products found in this artical can be found at Classic Motoring Accessories. http://www.properautocare.com For bright metal surfaces, use Wenol Metal Polish (from Germany) to add depth and brilliance. This is the best polish I’ve found for chrome, aluminum, and stainless steel. Use Regular Wenol (red tube) on neglected or pitted surfaces and Auto Wenol (blue tube) as a final finish polish. Auto Wenol is also the safest polish to use on gold-plated trim.Black body and trim moldings should be dark, crisp and clean. If the moldings are in good condition, use Black Again to dissolve wax residues, protect and add depth of gloss. If the moldings are sun-faded, abused or neglected, use Forever Black to restore the trim’s black color. Black Again is a deep penetrating cleaner and surface dressing. Forever black is a permanent dye. Walk around your car and look for wax residues around emblems, logos, panel breaks and crevices. Remove these residues by using a toothbrush or detail brush sprayed with Eagle One Wet Wipe’ N Shine.

The first time i waxed my vibe i was kinda sloppy and got wax on the body cladding and door handles. I bought mother's back to black and it did an excelent job, the plastic looked better than it did when i picked it up from the dealer.
