Re: car locks itself? (bassplayaz06)

I have the same problem with one of my doors but it's the rear passenger. There's a switch on the inside of the door frame covered with rubber. It should move a little and it is what tell the car your door is closed. It's probably broken like mine. I never got mine fixed because I don't care about t...

Re: Rear wheel bearing? (dischner)

My 03 AWD Vibe had it's left rear bearing go at about 160000 miles and the other ones near end of life two. My guy at the garage found me a part in NYC somewhere pretty cheap. GM wanted $340! Don't think he had to do an alignment though. At least he didn't charge me for one. Sound so much better now!

MY 03 AWD has 156,000 now. I've had a air bag light on now for a year, something about a short and or open on both bags. Needs new rotors and brakes all around. But runs great, and is fantastic in snow. Cant drive in snow thats over 10 or 12 inches though or starts to bottom out. Trany takes a few m...

MY 03 AWD Vibe is off too. Before getting a gps, whenever I got zapped by one of those radar units which show you how fast your going, I always got zapped doing 2 under what my speedometer said. After getting a GPS it would say my speed way 2 MPH slower than what my speedometer said doing 55 and 4 u...

Hey Pawkar! I've noticed the colder it is the more my car consumes gas. I usually average 26 mph with mine but in the winter it can go down to about 22 mph. The manual genrally recomends 5W-30 for oil, unless you in a place where it's real hot most of the time. I change my oil every 3000 miles even ...

One thing I noticed about my AC is when I'm stuck in trafic it doesn't work as good as when I'm crusing. If I'm on a road where the speed limmit is only 40 Mph I'll turn off the overdrive to keep the Rpm's up. Oh and keep your air set to recirculate. The air inside your car may be warmer than outsid...

I've had my AWD vibe two years now. Driven through a few good storms and it got me there safe. The last one they didn't seem to plow untill after I got to work so there was 6 inches or more in spots. The only time I gut stuck is when I got home and hit a pile maybe 12 inches or more. SO if the snow ...

I just used some wood screws, the bigest that would fit in the whole. I've had my baslink for a year now and it seems to be holding. Bear in mind I have the AWD and don't take corners at 100 MPH. Long term though I suppose I should get bolts. I like the corner mount. The bass just reflects off the c...

Did your car say -45 degress or was that the wind chill factor? I worked one night two weeks ago, got into my car and said -6 degrees. Didn't know if it even read into the negative but it does. Takes forever to get heat to and everything is stiff untill I get going.

I just picked up and tried Prestone's new "High protection WAX". It's some kind of sybthetic Carnuba. I got to tell ya it put on a real nice shine. Buffs off real easy by hand with a terry cloth towel. I used Zymol up to now but it does not have a reputation for lasting. Presotne does.
