Bazooka tube

Post by teammonkeys »

I want to inhence my sound in my Vibe. I been looking and I saw that the Matrix has a Bazooka bass tube as an accessory. Has anyone install one before? I was wondering if the Vibe has preset wiring for the Bazooka tube? Do we have to run the power, ground, and speaker wires? I went to the Toyota Dealer and they said that they have never installed one on a Matrix. Does anyone know?http://www.toyota.com/images/vehicles/m ... fer_lg.jpg

Yes, dozens of people have installed tubes or subs. Browse the Audio and Electronics forum. Here's a place to start http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=3671quote:I was wondering if the Vibe has preset wiring for the Bazooka tube? They are wired for what they have installed out of the factory. No extra wiring.

yes i have the toyota tube in my matrix, i think its about 80-100 watts, amp insibe tube, wiring comes with kit and mounting for our rear floor area. but do order the sub control from crutchfield. i have yet to do so. but should give more sub control. it uses the front speaker for the signal.

The wiring comes wiht the kit, but there's no existing wiring in the car for it, correct? You have to feed lines to the front speaker, no?

the harness that comes with the tube, plugs into the back of the radio the body harness then plugs into that connector completing the set up. the sub USES the front speaker signal, along with the front speakers. so you still retain all your speaker normal, but the sub "piggy backs" the fronts.

It really sound like the factory did not place any hardness at the rear (trunk area), am I right? Do you have to run the wire yourself from the reat to the head unit?
