Winter weather is here...the Vibe is great!

Well just to inform all....the ground is a thick layer of glassy ice right now and i decided that with these unhospitable conditions outside i should see how the vibe performs with the sticky summer-only Kumho tires i have on it. they are at about 40% tread after a season of autocrossing. The Vibe was suprisingly.......very suprisingly predictable. really respectable traction....2nd gear starts made easy work of roads that were as bad as it gets. i have a set of tire chains in the trunk....just in case but i would have to be faced with some serious grades in order to need them! on another note....mustangs are probably the funniest cars to watch in the snow and ice! so even w/ the summer tires the Vibe gets my

what part of MO you live in? i live next to STL and we just now got some mist, but no ice!

NJ got hit by Mr. Winter pretty good on Friday & Saturday. My GT did wonderfully in the snow. Starting in 1st gear was tought to do without slip, but overall, I also give the Vibe (GT) a

kansas city......it was all ice last night but this morning i woke up to 3 or 4 inches of snow on top of the ice.

yeah, my roommate said something about KC getting some stuff. we are getting hit by lots of snow now (just started about 45min or an hour ago), unfortunately, none of it is sticking. i can't wait to rip my ride in the snow!

well 7 inches on top of the ice was our total.....pretty impressive!

Orange county NY, 20 PLUS inches baby! I had drive 25 miles to work Saturday night too. Vibe handled great! Granted the AWD helped! Never got close to getting stuck but tires spun often. It was a horrible storm here.
