low beams to low?

Post by jgvibe »

Does anyone else feel there lights are to low when on low beam? I swear i can bearly see 5 car lengths at night. I thought low beams were supposed to light up about 300 feet ahead of you or so.

Yes, I found they were too low, so I cranked them up just a little. The cutoff at the top of the beam is so sharp that it's easy to see when following another car if you're starting to shine in their mirror. Also, there's quite a wide split between low and high, so if you go too high, not only will you get flashed by approaching traffic, but high beams will only be good for blinding owls...

Ask your dealer to check the aim on them.

Clean the lens to and see if that makes a difference because that can also redirect the light downward. I've seen that. But the alignment of the assembly might need a bit of tweeking as well.
