I was very leery about doing this myself. I bought an Infinity basslink and was installing it myself. I had to run power wires from the battery and splice into the speaker level outputs from the radio. Something I had never done. But it was al fairly easy and if I can do it most of you can to. The basslink adds much needed bass to the system, is not very spacious and sounds good! Goto this link and get the matrix sub PDF mannual. It has the wire diagram from behind the radio. Judging by my results today it's accurate

Additional info.. Helpful parts: 18-22 gage splices, get them at parts store. 18-22 male insulated connectors, these plug into splices. I spent maybe a total of $300 on this project. Origionaly I had walked into a big retail store and was going to spend up to $500 to have it done. They tried to sell me in-line converters, even thought the basslink had them builts in. RCA patch cables, $59.00. Y-cables, ect. Basicaly they were pushing $120 in extras I didn't need. And now I know I didn't need them. It pays to do it yourself sometimes!PS, I got this from some one elses post, but the easiest way to put a power line throught to the battery was through a large boot in the engine compartment. Used 10 gage wire.

good job. I was going to try and do that myself, but chickened out. I have a 5 channel amp and run all 4 speakers at 100 watts each plus 300 watts for the sub using the factory head unit. I have the 6 disc in dash changer and didn't want to get rid of it. I also upgraded all 4 speakers with the Walmart clearance specials. I've got Pioneer 6 1/4" co-axials in the front and Sony 6 1/4" 3-way X-Plodes in the rear. I have a Kicker 8" solobaric sub in a ported box. It looks and sounds 10 times better than the stock crap.
