I run my tires 2-3 psi higher than normal during the fall and winter to compensate for drops in temperature. (5degC drop in temp means a drop of 1psi.) This enables me to drive around longer without having to check/add air in freezing temps.
Thanks guys. Yes i have seen all the pics and yes it looks like that.As i have stated i'm not being rude, i'm just sick and tired of GM's stonewalling! JSDHi guys, I'm Gim67's friend. I have watched the events unfold here, from the deal right through to GM Customer service. I think you guys are miss...
Thanks I think!?The problem is. The cladding on this vehicle has discoloring/scratches/pitting/(ad your term here) because road debris passes around the front cladding because the tire is wider than the body. The body cladding should have been designed better and/or mud flaps should have been standa...
Thanks for the advice. I'm not crying wolf, I'm sick and tired of not getting any customer service from any retail outlet anymore. There are no temper tantrums, I'm typical Canadian, polite, apathetic, naive. This is the last straw!
Two people told me NO, on this subject( 1 of many, always no first) and the second told me to try http://www.camvap.ca .Also the http://www.thestar.ca has somthing called the "WHEELS" section which deals w/ these complaints on a weekly basis. You should read some of the replies given by th...
I think we can all agree( as the dealer did in my case ) the "discoloring" is caused by the scratches making them look white/grey.Regardless of how I phrased it here( all wound up ) the dealer agreed the TSB and conditions of my vehicle match. JSD
Hey Robdog. I had a similar problem. I could insert my fingers into the vent holes and lift the whole dash module up/down about 1cm. Took it to the dealer and asked the to anchor this module.( i didnt complain about various different rattles ) When I got the car back the dash was super tight, many o...
FYI!!! MY Vibe, Ginni, was losing coolant, about 1litre every 3mo. I just got back from the dealer and the problem seems to be a faulty/broken water pump. This was detected by running dye through the system and driving for a few days untill it circulated. Keep an eye on those fluid levels people.
I guess this is for the moderators/founders of this site but anyone who has insight please respond.I went to my local sign/decal shop the other day looking to get some professional stickers of the GENVIBE.COM logo/caricature. I was told I would need the originaly created "file" because the...
Great idea Ragingfish! I'll start. Wallace Pontiac, Milton ON., CAN. I took my vibe in for a small number of problems, why bother them with one little issue at a time, hoping to save trips to the dealer. One problem was repaired, the others were not, the biggest problem was with eneven/unusual tire ...
Nice Job! My only concern is the weight of the duel sub box. I had mine only a few weeks and the inside of the rear tires started to wear( because the camber angle changed ) so I switched to a single. Keep an eye on those cool new treads and rotate frequently.P.S. If this is a problem, you might be ...
Great idea, great job!! I've tried something different. I put GENVIBE.COM in red reflective lettering on my rear window, hope it attracts someone new?!?
David(and everyone else) C'mon people. Different tires, different cars, diff. manufacturers, dif. qualities?!?!?!? OEM. tires are there for a reason.(cost, intended ride quality etc) Because alot of different people will be buying a car, the tire must do many things well but none great. If you want ...
Always read your brochure, then compare the info with the car you are going to buy. When you have chosen the actual car, compare again and write down the serial # to compare against the paperwork BEFORE you sign-off on the vehicle. Then NO surprises!
BUY THE TOYOTA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would I buy the Vibe again? Would I buy GM again? NEVER!?!?!?!?! The car itself is great, GM sucks! The only reason I bought the Vibe was because it was less expensive, toyota power train and R&D. It took me 2 months, 8 dealers( who knew nothing), several e-mail...
As I'm sure you already know all tire preasure guages read differently. My tires did the same thing so I bumped the psi to 34front/33rear, no more feathering, handles better to.!?
Hey! Guys & Gals!! Just a thought here. How about Milton, at Kelso. There is plenty of parking, not to busy, lake to cool off, picnic area and when we are done great driving roads, if you know what I mean!!!Just something to think about. SeeYa vrrrroom
I just got back from the stereo store( Kenwood 4019 head-JL TR650csi speakers) everything dropped straight in. No funky special hardware, harnesses or brakets. Sounds GREAT!!
FYI! Your GM extended warranty starts the same day your regular warranty does and only provides extra coverage if you purchased a plan covering more years/miles(kilometres) than the regular warranty.
I agree with keeping the stock wheels for winter.( cheaper to replace if dinged, easier to swap come springtime) I've been looking and pesonally i like a thick, square, 5spoke, 17". In my area packages start at about $1300cdn to whataver you want. I'm looking at 17x8 rims with 235/45 Yokohana h...
Hey! Has anyone done a wheel/tire upgrade. Any idea what the max tire width would be for 17"rims? I've been told 235/45. What have you guys heard/done?
