I am looking at getting winter tires for my '06 Vibe FWD. These are the ones I am considering right now. Does anyone have any opinions about these, or any other recommendations (for snowy/icy Canadian winters?)Michelin X-IceGoodyear Ultra Grip IceNokian Hakkapeliitta 2Toyo Observe G-02Thanks,Tom
I know a lot of people swear by the Nokians and I would have to agree, they're an excellent tire. But I can certainly speak from experience on the Goodyears. I have them and have used them on both my Vibe and my Sebring. In both cases, they have saved me from many a costly accident.
IMONokian makes the best all around winter tires out there for the $.That is not to say those other ones listed are not GREAT tires... they are, and I would be comfortable buying anyone of them and putting my family in the vehicle with them on.I also have the Michelins... they are very good but not as good as the Nokian RSi's I have on the other car.The goodyears on a previous car... also very good, I have not used nor do I know much about the Toyo's.So basically go with any one of them. You will be happy and say they are awesome. p.s. - you left the Blizzak... also an amazing winter tire
