yes, spend about $300 on a decent head unit (which you can find good ones throughout the posts on this board) and everything will sound twice as good. the stock headunit is just too limiting

getting a aftermarket headunit will improve your sound a whole lot more than adding an amp to the stock headunit. a aftermarket hu will put out at least 52 watts per channel and the features on it will help you adjust the sound for whats best in your car.

not true because the cai pulls air in from underneath the car which is a lot cooler than a short ram pulling in air from the warm engine bay

i would do this mod but im not willing to give up my aftermarket HU. The features on it just make everything sound ten times better plus it had RCA outs of course for my subwoofer. I dont understand why some company wont just make adapters...its not like the iPod is a secret

after i put on the cosmo intake, if i dont let the car warm up for about 5-10 minutes then it will never rev past 4500. but after a few minutes it will go the full 6200 or however far it goes. im not sure if it has to do with the MAF sensor..but does this happen to anyone else?

i have a 15 under my seats on each side that work great. and by the way the whole "pulse to the music" has nothing to do with hooking it up to your stereo...it is just sound activated

well i dont know what happened with mine then...the only problem was the last bend in the pipe wasnt bent straight down but rather towards the fog light...so it just sat on the foglight housing with no way to get the filter on...oh well...i got it to work

yeah what i did was took the little hook that was supposed to sit on top of the vibramount...bent it straight out...and slide it under the hole where the intake goes in. it drops the filter down a little farther than its supposed to but it is still well protected and doesnt come near the foglight ho...

i recieved and installed my cosmo cai today and was not all that happy with the product. Lets just say the pipe wasnt bent very well...i had to do some "modification" to make it so the filter could fit on. But i got it all to fit somehow and it works great. I wish it would have been made b...

well its always good to help your engine breathe better (aftermarket intake) and it most defiantely wont decrease performace by adding it on with the exhaust...it can only help performance.

they have a feature called DSO that simulates a rising sound (as if the speakers were by your head instead of down at the floor) its real cool and it helps if you dont have tweeters up high

well i think he might be talking about the turn on wire, which should connect in with a wire going into the cd player. its blue with a white stripe in my 04 vibe. the turn on wire makes it so that the amp doesnt turn on until the cd player is turned on.

i was talking to a relative of mine who really knows his stuff about trucks/cars and i brought up lowering springs. he suggested just compressing the springs already on my vibe so that way it lowers it but you dont have to go through the hassle of getting new ones. i wired mine through the door seals, just start from the front and pull towards the back like ^ said and stick them in there. Its a tight squeeze but it works. And the firewall you either have to drill a hole or cut a hole in the rubber guard where the rest of the wires go through. I just cut a whol...

i never took my spoiler off and its light silver (the car color), whatever the name is for that. i bought mine with the spoilers on it and the rack will in no way slide all the way off with a top spoiler.

the will still go back on...i only broke the part of the track that hadnt come loose...so 3/4ths of it is still there. I will never put them back on though...it was hell takin them off!
