All kinds of things are happening at GM Canada (maybe US too). They are not offering any incentives on pricing and GMAC has now announced no incentives. I took delivery of a 2009 AWD for my dad yesterday and the dealer said that GMAC is leaving the leasing market completely. I guess they invested in...
Weclome aboard. In agreement with all, when you buy a new car it is just that, a new car. You have every right to be picky, and if your dealer gives you a hard time, change dealers. Sorry for the rant Again, welcome!

As a Canadian, I have been noticing a lot of fellow Canucks on the forums. I searched, and have not seen this poll up before.So...where is everyone from? The results might be interesting as the States have 10x the population, so we should divide their stat by 10 to be fair
Wow, your car looks really awesome!I just about went with that colour and changed my mind at the last minute and went with Mystic Blue. No regrets, but I would have also been very happy with your blue. Great choice I find the new car (GT especially) looks great in any colour
Excellent. welcome aboard! Good to see another fellow Canadian. How are things out there on 'The Rock'?The only province I have not visited...one day I will get there
My '09 GT's AC works great! Gets colder much quicker than my old '05. On those 30+ days I start with a few minutes with the circulation off and then turn it on to keep the cold air inside. It also saps way less power from the 2.4L engine than the old 1.8L. The engines performance does not change all ...
I agree with all, full leather is not the best option for a car. Dont get me wrong, it is luxurious...but hot in the summer and cold in the winter, and very hard to maintain and keep looking good. The new Vibe got the mix right. No over-sweating here...and no need to prepare your legs for the burning...
I must comment on the dealership badging. It is a big beef for me too! They should have to specifically ask you if they can put it on your car, or offer to pay you for it. They are very hard to remove without some paint damage! When I ordered my car, I specifically asked for it NOT to be put on. Sure...
I must comment that the 2009 is much quieter than my old 2005. I can only imagine that HellBlazer is used to very quiet cars.I suppose it depends on what you are used to. If you went from a Lexus to a Vibe, you will be very disappointed BUT, if you went from a 1983 Chevette to a Vibe, you will be ou...

I tried to get an accurate reading by using the GPS on my BlackBerry as I was driving. My speedo is a little high as well, in the 2% range. This was similar on my old 2005 Vibe as well as my wife's Echo. Interesting idea...I wonder how tire wear has an impact on the speedometer reading? Must be slig...
I prefer the styling of the 2009. The old GT was more of a 'drivers' car than the new one...cant beat that racy engine and 6 speed tranny. The old one was also more responsive, the new one is more refined. The new one has more safety features. Hard choice but I went with the 2009.
Just like every other review out there, it is just somebody's opinion...sometimes with a nudge from the company they are reviewing. The real opinions come from us As for the MPG, I do know that there is a very complicated procedure that grants the official numbers. Not sure of the ins and outs of it...
Not a fan of ArmourAll. It ends up ruining the dash over time, turning it brown and blotchy I like to use hot water with a touch of dish soap and a lint free cloth. Then dry it up with a towel. Keeps it looking natural
Problem is, this forum seems to attract mostly males, so the stats might be inaccurate (as far as overall Vibe drivers out there). When I spot other Vibe drivers around here, most of them are female...in the 40-60 year old range.Let's get out there and recruit some of these ladies!!!
I agree with all, XM is not even close to CD quality. When you switch from XM to a CD, the difference is huge. XM is not even that much better than FM for the most part. What you do get with XM is a plethora of channels with no commercials or DJ's and text info with artist and song. I love XM for th...
If you got the GT with no sunroof then you are not really paying that much more (about $2000) than a fully loaded 2.4L for what you are getting in return. The suspension is much better on the GT than the base (and the AWD). The body kit elevates it to a new level in the looks department. You also ge...

Great looking car I have been having more and more people ask me about the gas mileage. A fella at Home Depot yesterday said...'does that car have as good gas mileage as I hear?'...then, later...'its a Toyota, right?'Just managed to eek out 600km on a tank
Car looks awesome! Great colour choice. I saw one in real life at a local dealership (GT) and you are correct...pics dont do it justice. It is always hard to make out the metallic nature of the paint in pics.Great to have another 2009 GT owner on board
Just noticing this thread now, but this happened to me too. Luckily it dropped off at a friends place and she found it for me.I just did what Kamikaze did, flex the fins out. Tighter fit
Quote, originally posted by DeClerq »Front window switches are farther forward on the door - every time I go to roll down the front window (reaching to where I'm used to reaching on the '04) I end up rolling down the rear window.LOL...funny you say that as I have been having the exact same problem!
Hey Yury. Welcome aboard. No complaints here. The interior has a lot of plastic parts, but that is to be expected these day in this price range. The materials vary in texture and colour, not just a sea of flat, black plastic. No rattles or squeaks whatsoever, nice and tight all around.Gotta post some...
You likely won't have to buy an adaptor of any kind. Try going online to the XM site and getting a subscription. I think you can get the 'code' for your radio on channel 0 (zero)...or something like that and then that would be the code you give them to get things started.I am only taking my best gue...
