I wonder if she just had it attached to one of the tie downs. That's what it looked like. Talk about stupidity. The driver probably tried to clip the claws on the dog and ended up taking the whole leg.

ok pulling a stump with a car, fine, done it myself. BUT doing it with a hook on the INSIDE? (removed), you need a real anchor, like the trailer hitch..something made to take the weight/torq. 2nd thing yeah the dog in the way...man they are dumb they could of hurt that dog real bad specially if the stump just popped out real quick and she was flooring it...mmm stupid people...making the world turn.

On a stock Vibe (no hitch) the only real "proper" place to secure such a line would be the towing eye under the front center of the car. The car is geared lowest in reverse, so you'd get the most stump pulling torque hooking up to the exisiting tow point in the front of the car, and backing up to pull.

Not that I think this is a good idea.. but that was a pretty small stump. Not likely to damage the vehicle too much. The way you all were talking I thought it was a huge oak stump or something. It looked like it was from a bush or something.I personally would just take a shovel to something that small. I definitely wouldnt use my vibe. I love it too much!
