Whats with the interior noise?

Post by HellBlazer »

The one thing I found I hate about the Vibe is the road noise that travels up into the interior. Is everyone's like this? I've tried adjusting tire pressures and it helped a little. Im almost tempted to buy different tires. Are the older models like this?

Typical for the Vibe.....Sounds like it's time for some FatMat! Better tires will help, too..

Has anybody else noticed that if you take the rear center console out you can see the road from inside the car? Guessing there's some road noise coming from there...

Better tire can help considerably, they are all different and all have different noise characteristics..

there is stuff similar to dynamat that is much less heavy i would suggest that. yes i hated the road noise in the vibe, but i had the radio on loud. The only time it really drove people nuts is when they were on the phone with me and were like...ITS TOO LOUD!!!

Yea, i know what your thinking of- its called FatMat. I wouldnt use that stuff if it were the last option available for sound deadening. Trying to remove it once its on is like trying to pull fresh gum off your shoe

I must comment that the 2009 is much quieter than my old 2005. I can only imagine that HellBlazer is used to very quiet cars.I suppose it depends on what you are used to. If you went from a Lexus to a Vibe, you will be very disappointed BUT, if you went from a 1983 Chevette to a Vibe, you will be outrageously excited Just joking around, but my opinion is that it is quiet for the price range and type of vehicle
