I have been trying for a while to do this also. In all of my previous cars it was fairly easy to just pull a fuse for the DRL system. Until my wife's Vue with the auto lamps. but putting highbeams in the lowbean spot fixed that. I found in my manual that it lists an ECM-B fuse in the interior fusebl...
There was some pitting on both sides, but strangely, it's gone now, and brakes are behaving normally again. Just odd. Was starting to think there was a defect in the rotors, but now I dunno. Will keep an eye on them.
Okay.. fist let me mention that I understand how rotors work, and I know all about how they can develop rust overnight when in very wet/humid areas, and that this can cause a grinding sound when braking.I expect this, it's normal. What I also expect is that it wears off very quickly and then dosen't...
I've got an '07 Vibe, with the default AM-FM/CD radio unit. When i turn on the radio, it doesn't remember that setting I had the EQ on last, and I have to reset it every time. Sometimes even while driving it will go back to custom. Is there any way to program it to remember settings for particular rad...

Back to the silverstar thing... best bulbs I ever owned. Everyone says they don't last, but they were in my Vue for almost 4 years before they blew and I spent 10-15 hours a week driving in the dark. Can't wait to go and blow a wad of cash on the new ones. Sometimes Sylvania releases rebates for 15-...
ahh.. and I was just going to use a relay that's normally closed. and set the trip connector an acc power wire so that if the car was on it would open the switch in the relay. the closed circuit would go from the parking light power, to the activation side of the relay for my horns.
Adding that to my mod guide. Witch BTW, I am developing... if anyone had tips to easy programming mods like this PM me and I'll add them to the guide. (I will mention the original source of course.) I'm gonna give this one a try today in my '07.
Using the 9005 silverstars in mine. a bit tricky to twist in... but no issues. I thought it might leak a little, but so far it's fine. (found that out for sure a couple of days ago when it was pouring down rain. ) My main concerns were:1. Heat from higher wattage bulb distorting the casing. No troub...
Yeah, one of these days I'll take a good side shot, with maybee a little bit of an angle towards the front. I'll have to use my good camera, then I plan to photoshop all my mods onto it.

It's possible that one of the tires is causing a radial pull. Swap the RF with the LF and see if it pulls the other way. If so, then it's one of the new tires. I've seen that happen a lot, although mostly it's with large truck tires, it happened when I put 18's on by Saturn LS.
Again.. awesome color. That was my first choice, but couldn't find a model within 100 miles that fit my budget. Nice rims, but I would worry about them with the roads around here.

I e-mailed Sylvania and they sa...
Not sure what my plans are yet for that weekend... But I'll definitely make sure I get a chance to stop by. It'll be a blast! I may even get my wife to drive her Vue out, although it dosrn't have all the mods mine did.
Yeah.. I see what you're saying about the light color and actual lumens. and I guess that even though they put out less light than stock, it's more visible because it's whiter. Similar situation with flourescent bulbs. I can replace a standard 40W flourescent, with a slightly blue tinted 34W bulb an...
Quote, originally posted by His_and_Her_Vibes »Well, how the heck did ya end up Up there Mr Joe???Long story, but here's the short.... I lived almost my entire life in Texas, then I met my wife, and now I'm in Michigan. Funny how life is sometimes. I like the weather up here MUCH better.
Then you could run a freon line through the spoiler to keep your beverages cold! hmmm... maybe cooling the air flowing over the mid-spoiler will decrease drag...... I figured that it didn't do much other than look good
I ask this out of curiosity, and because it will affect my descision to get a spoiler....Do they actually do anything other than look good?I remember, back in the day, (like 15 years ago,) that on most cars a spoiler could actually save you a few mpg because of the way that it redirected air at the ...
15 years ago I was a state inspector in Texas and it wouldn't pass then. They probably haven't changed that What you did was get the ones that Velcro, or snap, on so that you could take them off at night. As long as it's easily removable for night driving it's okay. Never could understand why someon...
here in Michigan it's way expensive IIRC, it's like $100, but the worst part is that you have to pay that every year when you renew. Price varies per vehicle type and model.
even if it could give you better performance, it's just like being able to switch between normal exhaust and a catback exhaust. I'd like to see how you tune something like that. My vote... It's crap. On new or old cars.
yeah, it's pretty much for the looks. I hate rusty rotors, and painting them electric blue won't look much better. But electric blue brake calipers looks great. go figure. (If you hadn't noticed I'm gonna go with blue trim when I detail it.)
hehee... The Welcome mat has finally been put out, thanks everyone for sayin' hi. So far the only real dislike that I have about the Vibe is that the front cupholders aren't the same size. Haven't found a cup yet that fits the front one. Long term plans are to go ram air, prolly do a catback exhaust...
Not missing much power. I had the 2.2L I4 engine in the Vue. It was nice with some mods. but yeah.. do have a little less power. Got ripped by a comanche the other day that my Vue would have shamed. oh well.. some day. Problem is I want more power, but don't want to lose the gas mileage. That's a to...
Armada is a bit south of Imlay City, and east about halfway to port huron. I'm right close to Romeo, which IIRC is considered the orchard capital of MI.
The biggest problem with the silverstars is the limited life. According to sylvania they are only good for about 300 hours where the stock bulbs are closer to 1000 hours. But I guess I'm just lucky. In 4 years, I have only had to replace one set of bulbs and I do a lot of night driving. I see on the...
I got an '07 Frosty. Only extras I could afford was the preferred package. Dealer happened to have a monotone so I got that as well. I have plans to paint in the "pontiac" lettering on the rear hatch with a metallic blue, and to do some pinstriping.
That's what I thought that bolt was for. Always afraid to play with stuff for the first couple of months. I use theis method (attached .pdf) to set the headlamps, and it's never steered me wrong. I used to do it visually by eyeballing it, but ended up setting them too high, then when I installed the...
I really hate the stock headlamps. I will be using silverstars very soon, but not sure if that's gonna help the fact that the light beam dosen't reach very far. Is there a way to adjust the height of the beam? most cars there is, and I see a screw that looks like it may be for adjustment, but can't ...
Hello everyone, got my vibe, found this forum, and I wanted to say hi. I have been the proud owner of a saturn Vue for the past four years and was really sad to have to part with it; however, 20-23mpg wasn't something I could live with anymore. I fell in love with the vibe when I got one as a rental...
it's been my experience that minor mods don't have much impact. Major mods (stage 2 clutch, pushing 600hp, ect.) can reduce the value. Although they may sell higher independently with more mods.(posted after reading the bottom of page one and not realizing that there was another page. Post was in re...
