well it will make a car very loud. i personally dont think you would want such a device unless you got a lot of engine mods to create the power for it to useful. as for were you would wanna put it u gotta remember vibes have a res and 2 cats(stock)

these are usually seen a big blocks and sometimes turbo cars it just bypasses the so called restrictive cats resonators and mufflers. NOT for street use .and probably useless unless your heavily modified.

They are for street/strip cars.I have bolt-on ones on my Chevelle, just after the header to bypass the mufflers. It more for horsepower than anything.Plus running no mufflers on the street is illegal and you will get hassled by the cops. It's neet to have electric ones, instead of unbolting them everytime, cool idea.

Save the cutouts for the muscle cars. Get yourself some open dumps if you want some loud turbos.

even if it could give you better performance, it's just like being able to switch between normal exhaust and a catback exhaust. I'd like to see how you tune something like that. My vote... It's crap. On new or old cars.

They aren't crap but they really are meant for turbo'd cars or lil 4 bangers. They give the same results (and sound) as running open headers.

I ran my Subaru for a few days with the cat-back off, and while it sounded KILLER, it stole most of my low end torque. Now on a built carbed V8 the cut-outs could do wonders on the track, it's just not practical for street anything N/A

Cut outs are not meant for lil 4 bangers or turbo cars. If you want increased flow and less backpreasure on a turbo car you will get better results from Open dumps as opposed to recirculation (and it is loud) and run testpipes instead of HFC.

these work great on an older carb cars. This allows for very little back pressure on the exhaust. This a little more high end horsepower when drag racing. On newer computer controlled cars if mounted before the downstream 02 sensor (if equiped) then the motor will not run very well. I have heard some of these on buddies cars who are NA computer controlled and it seems to hurt the performance before he helps. I have never seen these on Turbo cars so I won't pretend to know.
