I've got an '07 Vibe, with the default AM-FM/CD radio unit. When i turn on the radio, it doesn't remember that setting I had the EQ on last, and I have to reset it every time. Sometimes even while driving it will go back to custom. Is there any way to program it to remember settings for particular radio stations?
2007 Frosty Pontiac Vibe, picked it up 6-01-071480 milesLife is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming..."WOW! What a ride!"
So are you saying when you go from one radio station to another it doesn't remember your EQ setting for that station? or that your memory isn't keeping the radio station itself stored in the memory (1-6) presets?mine doesn't keep the EQ per radio station, when I change from Radio to CD whatever I last had my EQ on is where it stays (usually custom) same with radio stations.
I've got an '03 with the 6-disc changer, so the radio controls probably changed, but here goes...After I've selected an FM station, AND one of the EQ presets (rock, talk, etc.), I hold in the desired 'Station' button 1-6, and the station is saved WITH that EQ preset. This doesn't work for the CUSTOM EQ setting, however. There is only one CUSTOM EQ setting. If you save more than one station with CUSTOM, they all share the same CUSTOM setting, the last one used.Note that if you change any of a preset EQ settings (use Rock, but change Bass to -1), the active EQ preset will now become CUSTOM, not ROCK.If I don't re-save the station with the new CUSTOM preset, it will return to the last SAVED preset the next time I return to that station. In other words, you cannot save a different CUSTOM preset for each FM station. If you change any setting in an EQ preset, it becomes THE Custom preset, and now has those settings for any station saved with the CUSTOM setting.Does that help???
My 2003 Vibe Base Auto 2-tone Salsa "SalsaWagon" was built in May 2002. I acquired it in Feb 2004/Traded it in on a 2016 Honda HR-V in Feb 2018.
the eq has to be set for each radio station. The HU will remember that one. So for instanceI go to 101.3 set it the EQ and then SAVE it into the memory slot 1. it will save the EQ then. If i dont have it saved in to a memory location it will not have the same EQ when i got back to it searching. So hope that helps.
