First thing I did was replace the horn, looking at getting a sway bar and upgrading the wheels to 17`s, but will take a slight hit on mpgs as expected, the handling on the Prius is not even close to the vibe 09GT suspension, but I knew that before I purchased the car.

The new owner will be very happy with the 09GT. I upgraded the radio and had taken very good care of it. I wanted better mileage and am now very happy with the mpg`s I am getting with the Prius.

After disassembling the head unit and knowing the knobs are going to fail again, I believe for me, this would have been a better way to go, all because of that stupid flange on the back of the knob. I have had the new center cap version installed for over a year and have not lost one. I could not tell much difference between the new ones and the old version other than the plastic clips on the back were a dark colored plastic instead of white.

Inspect every 15,000 miles and replace every 30,000 miles. I replaced mine at 30,000 and it was pretty nasty. Not sure about a warning light, the manual has no reference to one.

Dealer misdiagnosed the rattle problem I had in my steering column. They claimed it was the steering rack that was creating my rattle in the steering column area. It did not correct the rattle issue I am having.

Good news from the dealer, GM is covering the total cost of the repair, wow that saves me a ton of money. Dealer said it would be three days before the parts get in, so I probably won`t get the vibe back until the first of next week.

If the vibe was under warranty I would have the original exhaust tip, but there is no way I am paying the asking price for original equipment that may fall off again, anyway this exhaust tip is a good compromise for me.

I remember your post , the exhaust tip seemed to be fastened to the sleeve pretty good so I just forgot about it, funny thing though is the sleeve was not there either, so they both departed the vehicle out on the highway somewhere. I hope it did not hit anybody when it came off.

My 09 GT Exhaust Tip went MIA. I noticed it had fell off a couple of weeks ago, it looks like cheap spot welds were holding the original on. I replaced it with one from JC Whitney, and it fits great. I had to grind the spot welds just a bit to get it to slid on to where I like it.

I traded up from an 07 vibe, and I am glad I did the upgrade, I am pretty sure you will too. The 2009-2010 models are still weak in the paint department so make sure you keep your front grill area well waxed, and get some touch up paint.

I had the recall done yesterday on my vibe, They took the pedal out and shaved it, and they did this to the floor....(Also included in the repair is to replace a foam block under the floor carpet with a smaller one to lower the height of the floor slightly behind the gas pedal.)
