I can confirm that the radios do not need a code if you get a replacement that came from a Vibe.
I have changed from single CD to 6CD changer also with no problems.
This is on 03, 05 and 06 Vibes.

Is your Vibe an AWD model?
If so, they have a unique exhaust pipe gasket, much different than the FWD cars.
Even my Toyota dealer failed to get me the correct gasket, but NAPA had it.

Yes. These are all common problems and very repairable. 4 of 5 Vibes I have purchased needed 1 or both HVAC bulbs replaced. That is not an easy job. I have found heat shrink tubing that just fits over the bulb glass is the solution to getting them installed. The radio lights are a known problem and ...

I have used the 3M, Sylvania and Cerakote kits on Vibe hedlights. I prefer the Cerakote kit for ease of use and best results. It happens to be the least expensive also, got mine at Walmart. KYB was the OEM provider of struts / shocks on the Vibe.
I have tried Monroe and prefer the KYB units.
Finding something better will be tough.
I recommend shopping at Rock Auto for the best price on struts.

I probably should have used the word quiet instead of smooth. If your belt is worn or contaminated it usually makes excessive noise. When you replace the alternator it contains the voltage regulator also. Be careful where you source the replacement alternator from, and confirm the warranty. If the light is only on at low rpm and goes off when above idle I would check for belt slippage first.

Try it in neutral. May be the nuetral safety switch.
Try tapping the starter with a hammer. It may be on a dead spot on the armature,

You can purchase the Weathertech mat for the same year Corolla.
The Corolla has the same floor plan as our Vibes.
I have 2 sets.
You need to option them with the rear floor vent bump, it asks you on the site.

If the fan speed sounds the same when the air flow changes you probably have a blend door problem.
There are 2 doors, hot / cold and recirculate.
I would check the operation of the doors and actuators.
Maybe something is broken or disconnected.
Just something else to consider....

The neutral safety switch is a module on the outside front of the transmission, where the shift cable connects. If it has a problem the starter will not run. That is true, 03-08 vibes use the anti-lock sensors to activate the TPMS light. There are no "in tire" sensors on these years. Ask the mechanic for the old sensors. He won't be able to produce them because they never existed. Then ask for a refund. Let us know how it goes. I hate shady mec...

If everything was working fine before, and the problem started after a battery replacement,
you may have a battery cable(s) that failed after you moved the cables while replacing the battery.
I've seen it before.
Are the cables soft and flexible, or stiff and crackly?

Sounds like you may have / had an air pocket in the cooling system.
The fan should start to run when the coolant temp reaches the temp sensor threshold.
There is a pressure switch in the A/C system that can go bad and cause the fan to run immediately when the A/C is turned on.

Sounds reasonable.
All 3 of the Vibes I've owned have needed a tensioner.
I never had a power steering problem, but none of mine we GT's either, all 1zz.
Can you duplicate it in the driveway and watch the belt / pulleys?
