Mele Kalikimaka, by Bing Crosby and the Andrews Sisters, I think. Living in the Midwest, instead of dreaming of a "White Christmas," I dream that "Christmas...will be green and bright. The sun will shine by day and all the stars at night." Sigh....

Re: (mrpatrickg)

Patrick, do you drive a GT? I know I have trouble driving mine sometimes if I wear big "clompy" shoes: the edge of the sole sometimes tries to catch under the brake...and my shoe size about half yours! Maybe it's a manual vs automatic situation....Sorry I can't help you with where to order...

I was disappointed but not surprised at how my GT handled on the couple of inches of dry snow we had this week: the wheels seemed to be feuding--they didn't want to work together! My son's front-wheel drive Lumina (a much heavier car) did much better than the Vibe. First time I've missed my Explorer...

While he's not a genvibe member, my 18-year-old 6'8 nephew wears 17s. Shoe stores occasionally will have a pair in his size, but he mostly has to special order.I suspect he couldn't drive a Vibe--at least not the GT. Enough headroom, but not enough "footroom"!

Doesn't anyone else carry picnic gear?I have a set of plates, cups, and utensils, plus the all-important quilt. Beyond picnicking (a little cold for that now!) the quilt protects the seats from the dog, is emergency warmth, and can put out minor fires....(sometimes life is TOO interesting.)

If you have a mysterious "dash" rattle and can't locate the source, check the map lights in the rear-view mirror.

Referring back to page 1: Vibe, whatever you are feeding your cat, stop it immediately! And the poor souls who created this fuglymobile should be stopped before they do more harm. I'm gonna have nightmares!

Okay, Americans shouldn't panic until the facts are in...When the facts ARE in, panicking will be productive? Non-Americans have nothing to worry about? I'm confused...but prepared to panic when the official okay comes in....

Truth IS stranger than fiction!

This list has been around for a while and I always suspected it was made up; however, for the past several months I have been working as a transcriptionist in the claims department of an insurance company and now I'm a believer. I'm sure they are real! The world IS a strange place!

Re: (squrl78)

We must be careful not to LITERALLY run into each other, Squrl--the paint might just shatter completely off! (The paint is the only complaint I have with my excellent little car.)I'd love to see somebody organize a meet in Springfield, but I don't imagine Reliable will after we've bad-mouthed their ...

Deflector for Vibe available?

I travel a minimum of three miles per day on dirt roads and the back of my Vibe is ALWAYS dusty. You might think that a twenty miles of highway driving would clear it off, but no. Does anyone make an air deflector that attaches to the top of the hatch to divert a bit of air flow to blow that stuff o...

Re: (zionzr2)

I hear you re the uber-pushy folks at Reliable in Springfield. I know of other sales they've lost through their annoying sales tactics, and they almost lost their sale to me. I'm glad I bought my Vibe, but I chose it in spite of the salespeople and not because of them! The car made the sale.

I have the cc in my '03 GT, but seldom use it--mainly for the reason cdfxer mentioned! The reason I like the 6-speed is feeling in CONTROL! (Yep, I have MAJOR control issues!)

Re: Any Southwest Missouri area Vibe owners? (tangerine)

I'm not in SW MO, but my Vibe is from the Reliable BIG LOT in Spfld. I had only seen one here in Central MO before we bought ours, but they're everywhere I look now.My Vibe is a 2003 GT with no mods. I'd like to do something to spiff it up a bit--maybe some striping. Right now it's a very plain basi...
