What head unit are you using? You should be switching from radio to ipod by using the band button. Do you have xm? If you do, did you disconnect the tuner? By that I mean did you pull the sub out of the passenger rear quarter and unplug the antenna at that location?

I don't know about an 03, but it is not a difficult install at all. The actual adapter has a harness that goes into the back of the radio. The problem with taking the 12 pin out of the harness is that the radio doesn't think the xm exists. I then can't use the adapter because when I change the source using the band button, all I get is fm and am.As for the volume issue, adjusting the volume on my ipod does nothing.

It is actually grounded to a screw that is behind the glove box. There is no paint or anything on the screw. If I was to ground to the HU, what color is the gound wire? I feel somewhat dumb for asking this, but when driving an 05 gt, what is the best rpm to shift? I know enough not to redline and have only gone as high as 5grand.How high can I go before I am running the risk of damaging something?How will this affect gas mileage?Can I drive like this all the time?

The harness "GM 3" doesn't have a ground wire. It just has the power wire that calls for constant 12volt.

Thanks for the info. I was actually talking about the monsoon sub. I haven't measured the sub, so I don't know if it is an 8. What is an isoberic sub? I would really like to keep the sub hidden. Do you have any suggestions as to where to keep the sub hidden?

Thanks for the quick response and input. I was actually going to have the work done. So would the bass link be a good choice or is it more practical to bypass the stock amp and use the existing monsoon sub? I thought the basslink could be the same size as the stock sub and just swap them out.
