I just installed an ipod2car in my '05 vibe... It worked perfectly.... for about 10 minutes, now it is totally intermittent, the audio always plays through, although a bit quiet, but I did find the solution for the volume issue.but mostly the controls do not work at all. once in a while it will change tracks, or start playing when I hit aux, but for the most part it doesn't respond to controls at all. Has anyone had a similar problem and found a solution???
What head unit are you using? You should be switching from radio to ipod by using the band button. Do you have xm? If you do, did you disconnect the tuner? By that I mean did you pull the sub out of the passenger rear quarter and unplug the antenna at that location?
that happened to me once and i reset my ipod and it never happened again.another thing to check is if you have the AUXPOD DIP switches set correctly?[on my 05, you get to the ipod by pressing AUX, not band]

The instructions that came with my aux2car were, but now I notice the downloadable ones are pretty much the same as for the ipod2car.I also notice they recommend making sure one's iPod is upgraded with the latest firmware (see above link). So, as an attempt to help the original poster with their question, it may be that if they've had the iPod for a while they may need to upgrade the firmware.
