I just hooked up the aux2car adapter on 05 1disc HU. It works well and I am pleased with it so far, but there are a few concerns I would like to share.First is that the xm tuner must be disabled. If you don't, you will have both xm and ipod sound at the same time. Disabling the xm is tough. You need to disconnect the xm antenna at the tuner. The tuner is hidden BEHIND the stock sub in the PASSENGER rear quarter. Getting to this is a real pain in the rear end.The next major problem is mounting the aux2car adapter. The harness used is extremely short and there is not much room to mount the box. My suggestion is to use a pull tie to secure the box to the wire cluster above and behind the HU.The last issue I am currently having is that right now I have some alternator whine. If you don't know, this is a noise that mirrors the acceleration of the car. The higher the rpm, the higher the pitch of the whine. I think it is because of how I have the power wire hooked up. It is tapped into the cigarette lighter. I am going to try to find a better place for the power.Any suggestions as to where the power wire should go to avoid the ground loop would be greatly appreciated.
You probably need to pull power from the radio itself. Or rather, it's harness. If you want constant power, use the Blue/Yellow wire. If you want switched ignition power, use the Gray. That might clear up whatever problems you're having with ground loops.I've never run into more ground loop issues than on this car, for some reason.. Also, Aftre relocating the power, if you still have a ground loop, try touching the casing of the aux2car to the casing of the radio, and see if it goes away.

Do you think tapping the blue/ yellow or gray wire will work even though there is no ground wire for the adapter harness? Do you think a straight line to the battery would work?
It probably grounds through the 12pin connector somewhere..

I've got my AUX2CAR connected to power (harness Yellow wire) to the 24-pin radio connector Blu/Yel wire. Ground is through the 12-pin. No problems so far.
