The tranny lock release is also handy when you leave the lights on all weekend and need to move the car for access to jump start it. Not that I've ever done this.

The one on my Silverado PU is 'smart' they prorammed in sloshing/flicker avoidance. The low washer level comes up in the information panel display, usually just when I start the truck then goes off again. No flicker, no ding-ding, and when it says it is low, it is low! Check the relays as well. The areas you described are fed from one of them... PM me and I will look it up if you want. Ive seen a hairline crack in an automotive type relay (actually any relay would do this, lol) let in moisture and when it froze the contact plate could not move. Probably not likely...

Hmmm. I gotta go check what my batt specs are sometime. I keep leaving the &$%&^ dome light on. The Vibester will start after 2 days...three though and its toast When it is below freezing, I can get about a day....err...am I starting to indicate how many times Ive done this?

Hmmm. All of our gas up here comes from St Louis. Actually from the same fueling depots the trucks fill from to fill the St. Louis stations (or at least some of them). Hopefully we will get to see some of this in our area.

Unless your LED's have internal dropping ressistors, 12V will fry them. And LED smoke stinks! Check the package the LED's came in for operating voltage & current and size the resistor based on that. Dont forget to watch for current draw of the LED-you will probably need 1/4 watt or larger resist...

Sounds like a ground connection could be lost. Not sure why it is effecting the front and back though, the schematic doesnt lend itself to that type of failure. It will be interesting to hear your solution!

IMO, Pioneer is making a nice unit. Have some buddies that have various models. I think they are all the same basic family of HU though since they all look similar. They are using various speakers. Common amongst their systems: they all sound good to great!

If the PC power supply is only rated at 250~300 watts, then it is doubtful it will supply enough amperage on the 12V leads for the amplifier.If you want to even try it, I would suggest connecting all the +12V leads together, that is the only way you will be able to pull amps even close to the power ...

I havent checked the schematics yet, but isnt there another switch(s) to tell the ECM what gear the car is in? You might be able to use that in addition to the clutch switch, IE car in gear, then do not over ride clutch switch. Ill go dig out the schematics...maybe the Vibe doesnt even have that tho...

You can use another wiring harness/radio kit to half the amount of wiring under the seat when replacing the M & T with another amp. You use the wiring harness/plug from the same kit you use for the radio. That is the way mine was done.
