As soon as the wife OK's the purchase, I'll be contacting a member who would be able to do this for me. Of course, some compensation would also be given to the party involved for his/her troubles. I'll get back to you guys on this. Thanks again, you got to love the Internet for connecting people wit...

You only pay taxes, duty and broker fees if you they ship UPS. If any of these companies would accept shipping through the USPS, we would save hundred of dollars but they all refuse to use the USPS. I'm trying to think of a plan.Maybe I could buy the CAI but have it shipped to a US resident. Then th...

I read somewhere that you could buy an Injen CAI for 195$ but the best I have seen is 255$ shipping included? Has anybody found a cheaper place to buy?Ryan

Upgrading a base Vibe with a SC will run you about 4k no?. About the same price as a GT... Let's just say that a base Vibe with a SC is .2 seconds faster than a GT. You still don't have ABS breaks (2000$), the power package (1000$ to get the doors retrofitted and the windows), 1000$ for a sunroof. Y...

I hate SUV. King of the road my (removed)! They don't follow car standards such as bumber placement and fuel MPG since they are considered TRUCKS. They should be forced to follow the same rules as 18 wheelers. 55 mph max, right lane only, stop at weight stations, and pay higher registration fees. Th...

Re: 6 Speed shifter...uncomfortable to use? (andrewmva)

Actually, the shifter placement is excellent. The best I have driven... it's just a liitle notchy which means you might have some trouble putting it into gear if you are not straight into the gear. This is only when you are downshifting more than a gear. Like when you go from 6th gear to 4 th for ex...

I was very impressed with how little roll there is. I had an elantra before this and that was a boat. The space is very impressive. Also note that the Vibe is the least expensive of all the cars you are looking at but it is has the most performance. I really love the car. Only thing I would change i...

Re: GT Transmission Warning on http://www.womanmotorist.com (old man winter)

I own a GT and you do have to push the clutch all the way to the floor. When the car was new and the carpets lusher, you had to push the clutch a little harder but with 7000 km now, the car starts like any other manual transmission. As for the clutch being hard, I had a Porsche 944 turbo and it took...

Hello, I would like to purchase an Injen CAI from a northern us store (Plattsburgh) but since I am from Montreal Canada, I don't know of any speed shops in the area. While looking into building my own CAI, I noticed that the air box has a large vacuum flap that is before the filter. What does this do and how does not having one affect the car's operation. As for the MAF sensor, if Injen can make it an agile solderer also can. I must hand it to Injen for making a...

That is what the Vibe needs. A 2.2 litre engine that would develop 155 torque but 220 hp... That would really rock. I'd love a 2.0 liter stroker kit. It would use a little more fuel but there would be a little more torque down low. You just got to love the 6200 rpm rush the VVTL-I engine gets.Dreams...

I just received my Motor Trend magazine and they have a picture of the new Accord. Let's just say they will be aiming the 50-75 year old buyer base again. Yes the V6 will be 240hp but it will cost a fortune. There will also be a 6 speed manual transmission available. That will help in the fun factor...

Accord V6 instead of the VIBE??? I'd go with the Nissan Altima V6 instead of an Accord. 240 hp + torque + styling + more room + 3000$ less = HOT SPORT SEDAN. VIBE = HOT COMPACT WAGON not exactly the same category of car. Did I also mention that the Honda acoord is one the most boring FAMILY sedans b...

I was using the numbers Motor Trend got in their last issue. They did an article on both hybrids and there was a small side note on the Golf TDI. Wow, I'm glad I have a GT with the power package. I haven't used my realift glass nor have I ever had to use the key to open the latch. It would be a real pain to have to ALWAYS use your key to open the hatch. Door locks are a MUST then on a Vibe.

Yes, I bought the carpet from a local hardware store. I lucked out and found a grey carpet that matches the carpet in the car. There aren't many optins out there if you want a rubber backing. Some fake grass carpets could also do but then they are ugly. Other types of carpet don't have a rubber back...

Black cars look really good when they are clean. If you have the grey plastic cladding, it is nicer with darker colours. Rust shows more with a white car. White is easier to clean. White is harder to match / touch-up. I personally have a black Vibe GT and I get nothing but compliments. Black looks m...
