You only pay taxes, duty and broker fees if you they ship UPS. If any of these companies would accept shipping through the USPS, we would save hundred of dollars but they all refuse to use the USPS. I'm trying to think of a plan.Maybe I could buy the CAI but have it shipped to a US resident. Then that person could ship it over using USPS and I would pay for the shipping plus maybe a little bit of profit for the shipper's trouble.Ryan
I ordered my Silverstar from US. The price was $86 US. My credit card cie put the amount in Cnd $, so $126 cnd. Then I had to pay taxes on the $126 at the mail office. This parcel didn't travel through UPS but by Canada Post. You can save the taxes if the parcel is shipped to a resident in US then shipped again to you. The US resident only have to send it as a gift.
As soon as the wife OK's the purchase, I'll be contacting a member who would be able to do this for me. Of course, some compensation would also be given to the party involved for his/her troubles. I'll get back to you guys on this. Thanks again, you got to love the Internet for connecting people with the same intersts.Ryan
