i thought i read that the window shattered on someone from this group as he/she rolled the window. i would hope that they would consider that a safety problem. but i guess it needs to happen some more to initiate a recall.

Re: (CyBeRjUnKiE)

there should be a recall on this. i took my vibe in last week for same problem. the work order stated something about window being loose and they had to "re-glue to sash". i had a chat with the service rep and he said a bolt on the regulator was loose. not sure exactly which one it was, bu...

Re: (87iroc)

My problem was how do you not get the warranty. I got very upset when I tried a million times to turn down the warranty and they kept pushing it on me. That was the only bad part of the sale. Service is another story. Did I mention my dealer sux Here's an interesting read on extended warranty...&quo...

Re: (pmh013)

what Reynoma said! the main reason i bought the vibe was for the toyota reliability in it. the second was the accumulated gm card rebates. if wasn't for the vibe i would have had to dump my gm card rebates....or maybe get a left over prizm (corolla). my other vehicle is a toyota 4runner, going on 20...

Re: Paint Issues - Who has problems and who doesn't (1 Cool Vibe)

As I explained in another post, this is the one problem with the Vibe that bothers me the most. The best way to get Pontiac's attention regarding this issue is to file a complaint here:http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/

http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/ivoq/I did a search on the Vibe and surprisingly I did not find the most common problems I've seen discussed here...such as the chipping paint, the a/c not cold enough, the problems with the CD player, squeaky dash, etc. I did find quite a few on the "fat foot"...

Why we call them Stealers.

The other day I took my Vibe in to have the tail light checked because it keeps blowing the fuse the instant I put a new one on. Apparently, it was diagnosed that there were coins in the CD player that was causing the short. Granted, the CD player works, but it blows the tail light fuse, not it's ow...

Re: Sick of bulbs blowing (ragingfish)

Thanks Mike...Since many other vibes are losing their map lights prematurely, I'm thinking that it's the quality of the bulb that's the problem...and that they probably use bulbs from the same manufacturer for other places on the Vibe. I want to replace them first before going to the Stealer....but ...

Re: How do you pay for dealer oil change? (ken)

Here's what the dealer emailed me on the 15k service. Is this a joke or what? Remove all the bells and whistles (all the "check" and "inspect") and you're left with a very high priced oil change. I doubt the air filter needs to be replaced this soon. Do customers actually fall fo...

My invoice have been $0 so far and I've done four oil changes. My Dealer has been doing the oil changes on my Vibe for free. According to them it's for free lifetime of the car; and I don't even have the extended warranty. Only thing I have to pay for are the "scheduled tune-ups". Like the...

Vibe 15K Service

My Vibe is approaching the 15k mark. Has anyone taken their Vibe in to the Dealer for the 15,000 miles service? Dealer wants $200 for this service. Anyone knows what they actually do on the car? I'm reluctant to take it in if all they do is change the oil and rotate the tires, but, at the same time,...
