Window Problems

Post by Shadow-Vibe »

Anybody else out their had warrenty issues with there windows making a cracking noise when they are put down. I've had my Vibe in once for both front windows and now it is back in for the front passenger side and also my wifes Vibe is doing the same damn thing. And I have also noticed that the weather stripping on the driver window is getting tucked up under neath when I put the window up.

I had this problem, but only for the driver's window. Brought it in for warranty. I would do the same if it's doing it for your windows.

not sure if they ever put out recalls for this, but it's a common problem from what I've read.

there should be a recall on this. i took my vibe in last week for same problem. the work order stated something about window being loose and they had to "re-glue to sash". i had a chat with the service rep and he said a bolt on the regulator was loose. not sure exactly which one it was, but it is fixed now. but i am still having a problem with the weather stripping going down with the window. i am worried that the extra force it puts on the window might knock it out of alignment again if it indeed was a "glue" problem. this is the only warranty work so far. needless to say, my warranty expires tomorrow.

I know what you mean I'm getting close to my warrenty being gone and my wife's car is in today for the window and I asked the dealer when I picked up my car and they said that once a warrenty work is done that item will have 1 year or 12,000 miles if it happens again to replace it.

Don't think I've got that problem. My windows just rattles back and forth when it's half way down. Seems some what annoying when driving on the highway and it does that.

i thought i read that the window shattered on someone from this group as he/she rolled the window. i would hope that they would consider that a safety problem. but i guess it needs to happen some more to initiate a recall.
