Hello fellow New Yorker,Mine just sits on one plastic peg, using the hole nearest the moveable end, and there is a plastic peg that it hooks on in just a little bit near the molded opening where the cylinder extends. Hope it did not break off on you.Dale

On my 2006 if I turn the key to the right it unlocks the glass and when I turn it to the left it unlocks the entire hatch back. One key for all the locks on mine. If your key does not turn at all maybe you need to squirt in a little lock lubricant.

Does she have here foot on the brake when she shifts out of park? There is a solenoid to lock the shifter unless foot is on brake. Maybe she is not pressing down quite far enough.

Just make sure you do not fill it all the way to the full mark when the transmission is cold. If it is cold I would add fluid till it is just a little above the low mark on the stick, then recheck and top off when transmission is hot. Please correct me if I am wrong but I always thought that on the AWD Vibe the front tires were to be set at 35 and rear at 32 because of the extra weight of the engine over the front tires and the difference is to keep the rolling diameter of all four tires the same to reduce wear on the AWD system....

I have an AWD Vibe and yesterday I drive from Syracuse,NY to Hartford,CT in that winter mess that hit the North East. I had no problems getting going or skidding, I am running 195/65R15 Michelin X ICE tires.
