If people need to be held accountable, then why is it so easy for ANYONE to go and buy one of those??? No license, no insurance, hell, all you have to do is prove that you exist and wait a few days to get something that can kill a large group of people easily. Try buying a car or voting like that, you need all sorts of paperwork and ID and crap to get your car or place your ballot (too bad you can't get insurance on your mp/rep...)But I suppose that would be some kind of - GASP - gun control!!! sweet where do i sign up???some will say guns, no one needs guns. well I say we do. the bad guys won't obey the laws and get their guns threw any means they deem prudent.Some will say why do you need to carry a gun? well why do you wear your seat belt everyday? don't tell me because it's the law... because it's America's constitutional right to bear arms. You wear your seat belt because if you were in an accident you hope it will save your life. Well I own a gun because one day I might need it to save my life and my wife's life.Contrary to believe there are back ground checks, which vary from state to state on the level.It's a hobby to most, not so they can walk in to a mall and go on a shooting spree and if one does so. I hope to god that day I am wearing my gun so I can defend myself.Police are there to make reports and solve crimes, not to prevent crimes.

star_deceiver, I respect your opinion, if you do not like firearms by all means don’t buy one. But at $450 I highly doubt they are giving away real AK-47s, like you might find in Iraq. Most likely they are a semi-automatic copy which is really no different in function than “grandpa’s” semi auto hunting rifle. As far as the cartridge it fires it is little different than a 30-30 round which has put dinner on many a table.I do how ever object to you posting links that take you to a web site that shows explicit images with out a warning that they are there. That makes the forum inappropriate for younger viewers. Some of us have our younger children with us when we are viewing this forum.

The way I sleep, the robber could set off fireworks and I wouldn't notice! Anyways, what is the average sentence for armed robbery?? Or is it more of a revolving door system? Here, if you were to jack a 7-11 you'd get about 2 years less a day, use a knife/gun and it'll be 2-5 federal time. Although petty theft usually just gets you a couple months + probation and shooting an unarmed criminal will get your rear end thrown behind bars!

It's probably priced for a WASR.Besides you're right, I don't NEED an AK47, I already have one.Also, all "assault" rifles that you can purchase in the US without a special multi thousand dollar per year permit are semiautomatic. For any fully automatic weapon inside the US you are either talking Class 3 machine gun license fees plus the 20k+ that such a weapon would cost. The government does make it easy for people to obtain these weapons if they have the money.The main reason people get their panties in a wad over these guns is because of how they look, and it has nothing to do with how they function or what they do... which is only what someone chooses to make it do.
