Re: About to buy an SLP hood... need advice. (BadBrew)

If anyone needs replacement slp ram air hood scoop grilles they are still available on their ebay site for $5.95 each plus shipping. They are listed as 1997-03 grand prix ram air ho, but they fit perfectly on my recently aquired vibe slp hood which were missing the grilles. slp part number 10188http...

Congrats on the install. The horn should be a nice mod. One or two horns? What do you plan to do with the lights. I got my Vibe in August and have already done many mods to it. It's hard not to.

Re: New Vibe owner, and member. (Gandalf)

Those oil pan heaters I think do the best job of starting a cold engine in the winter. That thick cold oil is the biggest challenge on any engine to crank over in the freezing temps. I didn't rustproof the bottom of my car but just sprayed a black chassis epoxy paint on the undercarriage after i bou...

Re: New Vibe owner, and member. (Gandalf)

Welcome and good luck with your Vibe. Yeah my month old '05 Vibe with auto idles at 900 rpm or so also. It's normal. My Oldsmobile i had idled about the same. I just got about 1000 miles right now. Have not really checked my fuel mileage yet. Now that the drivetrain has loosened up I'll be checking ...

That was odd it was disconnected. For what it's worth, the sensors sensitivity is adjustable. Mine would not trigger with taps on the glass until i adjusted it.

I had my stock 05 radio out of the dash for 3 days and no issue. I think only if you pull one out of a different Vibe and put it in yours it will not work. It is looking for the proper vin mumber for the theftlock feature.

Re: Part # for the small, rectangular plate next to the driver-side coin holder? (trdvibe)

Yeah I just recently installed an aux input adaptor, and ran the stereo cables under the carpet to the useless coin holder below the e-brake. I mounted a jack there in one of the blank panels from the dash. I have a short pigtail which now plugs between my mp3 player and the jack. 235396=8479-IMG_64...

Re: GM12-AUXv2 hiss at lower volume (iamthekiller)

I just installed the same aux adaptor and get very minor hiss with the aux. input source. I connected the constant 12v and ground at the radio's main connector. It's not an issue for me. Can't hear it while driving down the road.

TRD strut bar install

Got my TRD strut bar in on my '05. Went fairly easy except with a slight clearance issue with the A/C line bracket. Just had to readjust the 2 A/C hose brackets to get proper clearance.

I have a base 05 Vibe in Lava also with the monotone pkg. The rear bumper, lower side cladding and lower portion of the front bumper has a texture in it. GM just paints over the grey plastic which has a grain to it. It gives the paint a satin look to it. I also noticed this on the Aztek's at the dea...

Re: last minute buy... (trdvibe)

Thanks for the info and thoughts. They listed the supercharger in the 05 vibe brochure. It definitely got my attention. As for the brace, it's debateable on any handling improvement. I did like how it stiffened up the front on my old Achieva. Granted that was a flimsy chassis, even with the strut to...

Hi..enjoying this site.. Lot's of info. Just picked up my 05 Vibe a couple weeks ago. Was gonna buy a used one, but the rebates were too good to pass up. There wern't too many decently equipped base Vibes in the area left except for this one. Got almost 500 miles and I'm lovin it. It has the 17"...
