So it turned out that ALL my brake lights are burnt out! I guess that would have been the easiest to check but I'm still glad I also checked the other stuff as well.. now I know how to find and check fuse and now I know where the brake light switch is!Thanks to star_deceiver and joatmon for your rep...

Ok.. so i checked the connection and it's good - disconnect and reconnected and still same problem - no brake lights at all.looked at the fuse box and switch fuses around - still same issue so fuses are ok...you mentioned how to test the fuse switch by manually doing the wiring the connector to see ...

Thanks for that tip - just googled it and i will take a look first thing tomorrow... assuming the connection is good, is there a way to test if the brake light switch is dead - I'd hate to go buy a new one to find out it has the same problem...thanks for the help..

Hi.. I'm wondering if anyone has come across this and can offer assistance... all of the 3 brake lights are not functioning.. on a side note, the license plate light is out too but that happened long time ago that I just never bother to replaced - now I was just told I have no brake lights at all..!...

Yeah that would be nice... although lately I've been thinking that for my next new car - I would want it to be the car that I really want (and want to drive for at least 10+ yrs) vs. settling for the next economical car and keep buying new every 5yrs or so... even though it might cost more at first,...

just read the other thread http://forums.genvibe.com/zerothread?id=19737 and noticed jasonvibe's post about it being an ABS thing and actually written in the manual! This goes to show you how important it is to read the manual first !!

Just an update.. I just noticed if I shift to drive but keep pressing the brake partly and let the car roll forward it won't make the sound until I completely take my foot of the brake. Sound come on whether I'm pressing on the gas or not.

Hey thanks for the heads up and link to the other thread.. I've been away for the last couple of weeks so I've missed a lot of thread activity..It might be an ABS thing since my dad does NOT have ABS and he's vibe does not make this noise..

I saw this episode once of mythbuster (gotta love discovery channel!) that tested this AC vs Windows open.. I don't remember the exact details except that driving with your windows open you get better gas mileage than using AC.. again I don't remember exactly how much the saving is..

hmm.. I just filled up today and I got almost 9L/100km where as normally I'd get only 8L/100Km.. no change in driving.. could it be that gas station pump is... mis-calibrated??

I get approx 8L/100km or if my calc is correct, approx 29mpg on 85/15 city/hwy.I have an 05 base auto with just under 4000Km and no oil change yet - I know.. I know.. I should get it done soon..

Picked up my new 05 moonstone 3 weeks ago and already took it for a weekend trip.. over 600Km driven in 3 days and just used 40L of gas (mixed hwy and city driving)! 6.62L/100Km - awesome!!!
