o.k. ya'll here is a question for you! which is better a lebra or this clear vinyl protector i've seen on e-bay?, they say the lebra will scratch the paint Has any one done either? I live just north of Houston and have had lots of dings and glass chips from the big rigs on the road on my other cars, New 05 vibe and want to keep her that way as long as possible.... all advise is welcomed Judie
I got the film on E-bay. I sent it back since it did not fit. Was for a 04. Hi program said they are the same. I assume he has fixed that. I also checked with a guy who does grafic design and asked him about the clear bra. He said they are of no use unless they arr 22 mil thick. The stuff I got on E-bay was not that thick.
2005 AWD What's your story? It's a wonderful thingMomma always said "Help that is not helpful, is no help at all"
I hear that doing the clear bra for your full front (what the bra would try to cover - less the mirrors) will run you $500 or more.. I started thinking - if the problem with vinyl bra is that it will scratch the paint, why not put those magnetic vinyl on the hood first then put the bra on. this should cost maybe $100-$150? The magnetic vinyl will protect your hood paint from getting scratched and the bra will protect your whole front bumper from rocks and chip.. and you save $350 or more..what do you guys think?? is there anything wrong with this that I missed??
make sure you give your vibe a good wash and wax and apply the magnetic one in a clean environment to keep dust and ugs from under it. sonds like a good idea though.
