I have the base vibe with the 16" wheels and my gps reports the same speed as the speedometer. They may not have adjusted it for the GT with the 17" wheels. Would like to know if anyone else with the 17" wheels is having this problem though.

Well, the GTECH is not exactly right but it is usually around 1-4 off in the HP range, around .5 off in 1/4 mile times and 2-3 mph off in the 1/4 mile run. They are actually pretty good measures if you don't have the time to actually do the real tests.

Would a tranny cooler and a torque converter be enough to hold the horsepower for our transmissions or is it just going to be a constant thing of rebuilding the transmission or getting a new one that will withstand it? Anything else that would have to be upgraded to safely run the vibe with the turbo?

I use Meguiar's gold car wash and a soft wash mitt. I do not use the bucket except to get all the grit out of the mitt, I just wash the mitt and then apply the car wash on the mitt itself and do like a fender, then wash the mitt, apply more, etc. I think that Meguiar's makes a great product!

Nitrous is not good for everyday driving. If you are only wanting 30 hp, you could try the cold air intake, exhaust, throttle body, pullies.Or you could always just rip out the passenger seats, back seats, spare, plastic on inside, etc.
