ram air hood

i know that it has been discussed before but i was wondering if pontiac SPO is actually going to release the ram air hood. i recently had one of my drunken lambda chi brothers sit on my hood and give it a nice little dent and crinkle. so i went out and price new hoods, and repair, im gonna get it repaired for $125, but a replacement hood FROM PONTIAC is $1300 or $2000 if you get it painted at the dealer as well.so i thought of looking for a ram air hood to accompany the CAI I will eventually get so that i suck in nice cool air from the outside. well anywho all of the searches brought up our lovely little community here and the older posts that we had. i was wondering if anyone of you (ie derek, scott, mike, or anyone else has heard anything new on if they are actually going to put them on the market, cuz most of the dealers dont even have any parts or have any idea when the are going to get them from the mexican parts plant.peace, yogi

hopefully since the voltz is coming out soon hopefully, the japanese will start the aftermarket parts and I'm sure that one will be produced but not sure when.The dealer wants 2 grand for a newly painted hood, are they crazy?

I have heard it will be released as a aftermarket dealer option very late this year or early next.

Look up the user Admin in the Members list at the top of each page and IM him. He's got a few friends that work high up in Pontiac so he'd be able to tell you a better answer than I.
