Re: 2006 Mono Vibes have painted rocker extensions (NSimkins)

Thanks for the info. I guess I am a bit late to the game. I saw in the old thread someone asked if they could do it to their earlier cars for less than an arm and a leg...here's a recap of what I spent last year. If you are willing to paint and install yourself, not too much. And I painted my flaps ...

2006 Mono Vibes have painted rocker extensions

Hey all, I may be late to the game here, but has anyone else noticed that all 2006 Vibes have the rocker extensions now, not just the two tones. And I thought my 2004 Mono was special because I added the painted rockers. I was wondering when GM would finally add them to all the cars. Seems like it w...

If I remember correctly, most 2003 VIBES with 16" Wheelcovers came with Goodyears. The 16" rims were Conti's. If your car has wheelcovers, then you should have Goodyears.

I haven't had that problem, but I can guess why. Is your vehicle an SUV by Michigan Reg...In NY, where I live, a VIBE is classified as an SUBN, which means SUBURBAN, which in NY, means SUV. I believe it has something to do with the semi-vertical hatch which classifies it as such in NY. So I wonder i...

Re: Strange problem with my Vibe (ArcsVibe)

That problem is very common in Fieros..it was a TCC Switch or Torque Clutch Converter Solenoid Switch. Did the car feel as though it was going to stall because, let's say you were in a 5 speed and when you stopped, you didn't downshift, so it started to sputter like it needed to downshift? That's wh...

Yes, you ahve to remove the old ones. I had a body guy do the work, but I do not believe he sanded them. He used a new PPG plastic paint system. I don't have the part numbers on hand but they were about $60 each from GMparts.com

Try adjusting the dimmer switch. Bring it to the white line. I did that with my 03 because I found the pod lights were always dim because the headlights were always coming on because the auto sensor always thinks it's darker than it really is because it is in the shadow of the a-pillar

The trick to trading in a Vibe is trading it in on another Vibe. I've traded twice so far. In May 2003 I traded my FWD Neptune Mono for an AWD Two Tone with the almost same options and paid $5250 (that includes a $2000 rebate). Neptune had 18000 miles on it The only option difference was no 16"...
