Urbana Ohio Buick-Pontiac-GMC dealer (where I bought my Vibe) who has operated for years on a $49 over invoice business plan now advertising May Inventory Reduction $200 under invoice. Vibe $18,735 MSRP down to $17,300 less $2,000 rebates. Wonder if GM is giving some addditional dealer cash. No mention of conquest rebate. Wonder why not - seems it would be a draw.

I know all about holdback - GM's is typically 3% of MSRP not including the destination charge so it would be about $550 on an $18,000 Vibe. That is how the $49 dealer can sell enw cars for $49 over invoice. Just surpised to see $200 under and surmised there might be some add'l GM dealer cash incentive going on there.
