Re: 2005...annoying beeping from unplugged seatbelts (GMJAP)

So let me get this straight. If the dinger malfunctions - the air bags will not work- even though a set belt IS worn?!!!! And no one please say that can't happen! Anything can go wrong with these new cars and the 500 miles of electrical wiring in each car. I just got my Vibe back from service and th...

Re: Problem Setting EQ on FM Radio - Please help :-) (de387)

It worked. I set the EQ for the station. I then saved the station by holding in the number of the station preset. When I return now to the station after listening to a CD, it is saved. I find no place in the manual where this is stated! Maybe I am just blind and missed it.

Oh man do I feel like an (removed). I just figured it out! I have had extensions in the past. They were simply plastic pieces hidden inside the visor. You would grab an end and side it out. Well. the Vibe DOES have something similar that works well. You just grap the entire visor and slide it on the...

Visor Extensions on 2005 - Standard???

Hi..I just bought a new 2005 Vibe a month ago. My question is I didn't get the visor extensions like other 2005s have. The sales literature states that they are standard UNLESS the car has side air bags. I don't have the side air bags and did not get the extensions (a feature I really wanted for tho...

Problem Setting EQ on FM Radio - Please help :-)

Hi everyone...I am really frustrated setting the EQ tone controls on my Vibe.I have read the manual and have them set for EVERYTHING the way I want except FM Band. My settings work on CD, both XM bands, and the AM band. They are always the correct settings. **BUT** I can't get them to stay on the FM...

Hi ColonelPanic..What is the "our price" for the visors with extensions? That price is alot cheaper than GM's price. Yes, I'd spend $80 for them in a second. They help on long trips on sunny days. Always seems like the sun peaks in the area just outside what the visor covers! Jeff

Thanks ColonelPanic for your answer. I may call my Pontiac salesman to ask. Yes, if anyone else has them, please write. I am going to check the cars on the lot to see also.Of course buying them from the Parts Dept is out of the question. They would probably be $200 each.Jeff

Gee-whiz! I sure am happy Pontiac and GM are watching out for us and keeping us from harm. Now, they need to take it to the next step and not allow the ignition to work until the seat belt is latched. Too bad all these older cars - the pre-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding-ding ones - are not equipped like t...

WOW!!! If you don't have the seat belt on/latched - then the air bags will never work!!??? That is really sad - and potentially dangerous in some cases. Pontiac should "re-think" that!!

If it is tied into the air bag system, then there must be a way to remove the dinger/buzzer or whatever it is called - at least I hope so! The dinging drives me nuts. I wear the seat belts 90% of the time, but sometimes remove it before I pull into the driveway or will remove it to get my wallet out...

not sure about that...going to the junkyard. That may work, but I suspect that it will be hard to find a wrecked Vibe (not sure what happened to my 2004! ) and if I do, parts like this are usually gone. PLUS, if this was supposed to be a standard item, why shouldn't Pontiac supply them? Jeff

Seat Belt Alarm on 2005s

Does anyone have any idea how to unhook or disable the audio "ding - ding - ding - ding" for seat belts on the 2005s. I read one post a while back that said there are 2 wires and just to clip one, but where are these 2 wires??? Thanks!
