Re: Vibe died on road. What could it be?

Ya. So far 1 is 90. 2 and 3 zero

Getting spark, so timing chain should be good. Didn't hear a clang. Going to pull head off and see if chain and cams rotate.

Replaced fuel pump in process as well.

Vibe died on road. What could it be?

So I have a 2005 vibe, about 250k miles. I have replaced the timing chain about 10 months ago. Was getting some issues with rough idle in gear. So I replaced the air filter, replaced the spark plugs. Still didn't resolve. Did more research and found articles about air intake valve. Mine is electroni...

Re: Battery Light On, But Wait There Is More.

Took to a friend, they checked alternator and it was bad. So something intermittent. Put new one in and seems to be working fine. Voltage is 13.8-14.1 now night driving. Thr diagnostic port started to work before he checked it out. Not sure the story on that one. But all seem well. Thanks to all.

Re: Battery Light On, But Wait There Is More.

Far south Chicago,. Kankakee County.

Biggest repair done was timing belt replacement, but this started well after that was done. (Several months).

Since we took off the alternator and everyrhing else on that side, one of the wires could be loose or short. Just odd how very intermittent.
