Re: Eclipse head unit and door chime (mwebb)

I have the moon and tunes...what model Eclipse do you have? To my knowledge there is only one place in K.C. that sells these. I had to do quite the research to find out they even existed.

can the moon roof be adjusted

Anyone know if there is an adjustment to make the moon roof seal better? Mine leaks from the right rear corner and the dealer is going to install a new seal around the moon roof but never mentioned a possible adjustment. When it leaks I can take my hand and push up on the right rear portion and stop...

Eclipse head unit and door chime

I am considering purchasing an Eclipse head unit and matching in dash 6 cd changer. The installer tells me that the factory head unit contains something that affects the door chimes and that in order for me to retain the door chime I need something special if I purchase this Eclipse. Anyone had issu...

water leaking onto the driver side

I can't believe this. when I got off work and got into my car...at least 3 oz of water poured on my leg. The water came from where the A pillar meets the headliner on the drivers side. I took off the A pillar to see if I could isolate the leak but ...no luck. I only have about a thousand miles on th...

Re: (Jahntassa)

I had the erag320 in my Honda and regret not keeping it when I sold the car. It was not user friendly but had the best sound tweeking I ever heard. I am, however, confused as I know Clarion makes units that have multiple light options for the face of the head unit and I believe Blaupunkt and Kenwood...

what type of after market head unit might you suggest

two weeks ago I completed the intall for my vibe gt. 9 speakers a jl500/5 amp and it sounds decent. I really wanted to keep the factory head unit but...can tell that it does not sound as clear as the Alpine I had in my previous car. Now...I want something where the lighting of the head unit matches ...

Re: speaker installation (spideymike1)

I just did this in my Vibe and the oem tweeter panel pops off ...just lift from the bottom. I replaced the tweeters with Boston's and put an extra set of tweeters on the A pillars. As far as the oem grill for the tweeters once you remove the tweeter panel you can see how it is attached.

installed an amp next to the spare tire

Yesterday I installed a jl 500/5 next to the spare tire. This amp was mounted underneath the black spare tire accesory tray and I cut out the right portion of this tray so it all looks clean and I lose none of the space of the trunk area to an amp. The dimensions for the amp are approx 19.5 x 9.5 x ...

anyone have experience with jl 500/5 or boss 935 five channel amps

I have pretty much decided on a jl 500/5 five channel amp for my vibe. It's kind of pricey. A more reasonably priced amp is the boss 935 five channel but I know nothing about this product. Anyone have any experience with either of these amps? or any other 5 channel with a remote for the sub as I am g...

did you have this installed or did you do the instal yourself ?I am really concerned about the sound quality with the factory head unit. I prefer the high and mid range clarity with really tight base. Are you able to get this with your set up ?

does this mean that you only added an amp because you added a sub to the stock unit ? You didn't add an extra amp for the other 6 speakers ?

sub install to factory radio with remote amp level control knob

I just purchased a 2003 vibe gt with the moon and tunes. I want to install a sub and an alpine, 5 channel amp mrv-f-450 to the stock radio. I want to isolate the sub with a gain knob. Alpine makes two such controls the rux 4180 and the rux 4280 but I can find nothing that indicates one of these cont...
