water leaking onto the driver side

Post by gogoputter »

I can't believe this. when I got off work and got into my car...at least 3 oz of water poured on my leg. The water came from where the A pillar meets the headliner on the drivers side. I took off the A pillar to see if I could isolate the leak but ...no luck. I only have about a thousand miles on this car and have washed it ten times and it has rained and snowed ten times since I bought it but the problem only surfaced today. Anyone else have any experience with this ? I have the moon roof and know that just because the water is leaking onto the front left side of the interior of my vibe it doesn't necessarily indicate the source of the leak but my big concern is...a leak in such a new car??? Please help!!!

Have you run any wires through the door seals?
YES!I still visit GenVibe periodically. I have not forgotten about my "original" family over here!

yesterday when I got off work it was raining like the old 40 days and 40 nights biblical reference and both front seats were totally soaked.I could see the moon roof leaking like crazy from the right rear portion of the roof...sooo it's off to the dealer.

I had the same problem...there is a drain pan around the moonroof that has a tube attached to it that runs down through the windshield column. On my car, the tube came off and caused water to drip from the headliner. Dealer fixed in about a half hour. They knew exactly what it was when I called. Hope this helps you.
